Trying to understand the Barn bragging about their D. They finished 8th in points allowed and 7th in total defense.

That’s average.

Bama finished 2nd in points and 3rd overall.

The secondary is the strength of this defense. Loaded group. Zabien has really elevated his play.

Gotta say. As much grief as I've given Wommack and his scheme, I'm impressed by the turnaround.

Seemed like they were playing a lot better towards the end of the season, but I went back and looked at the Vandy score. Holding that offense to 14 is impressive

Very impressive considering how good they’ve looked most of this season.

Very good secondary. Two really good starting safeties and Mincey has come along too. Lee developing nicely.
Hill-Green has been a good surprise as well

Most or all of the defensive bottom dwellers, we didn’t play

Dijon Lee was the difference.

The difference in a great defense and an elite defense is usually a freshman or two having to start.

Dijon Lee has played like a vet for us when domani was sucking it up.

Red Morgan has been coming on strong lately, too. Although it seems like teams have been trying to pick on him. See the Oklahoma game.

Which is why we are #9 now in the standings. Texas exposed them.

A&M was getting blasted at home by South Carolina. Then South Carolina proceeded to have the biggest meltdown I’ve ever seen.

Yep, because of an injury to Jones. Red definitely has more upside

Also, Cam Calhoun is a good player. Although he did get called for a questionable targeting penalty on Saturday.

Todd McShay had an Instagram video giving Bray some love. He was really praising his versatility and play making abilities.
