The hitting approaches have been so bad for all of Bo's time here.

We take so many bad swings at pitchers pitches in hitters counts. Nobody swings at more first pitch offspeed pitches off the plate than us.

these guys play basically year round except for a few months between fall ball and spring practice.

Yeah. Not a promising start but let’s see where they are after a couple of series. Plate approach I didn’t have a problem with. This kid was throwing fastballs to start the counts and I’m always a proponent of jumping on fastballs early in the count and not letting these guys get to their out pitch. Problem is we’re missing the fastball.

I have no problem attacking early in the count, but we're pre-determining swings and lunging at stuff that isn't driveable. Just feels like the norm the last 2-3 years.
