no matter what happens this AB, will portera looks like a hitter. battling his butt off!! his approach puts the rest of the lineup to shame!!
he’s got that “dare you to throw me a strike” vibe going on! it’s refreshing compared to the bored look of most of the hitters.

Man that one in the gap killed me. He deserved to get that hit. That could have been 2 runs there too. We just can’t catch a break.

Opening weekend gave me some concern for our pitching staff, but even with the benefit of this dreary weather, this weekend has drastically changed my views. We’ve got some really solid arms this year. And they’re young so we can expect some years ahead with them.
Still need to develop our timely hitting and plate approach, but looks like we’ll be in any series we have this year with these arms.

Being like 0-9 with RISP yesterday and 0-3 or so today is tough and will do that. This field sucks too. I hate turf fields for anything, but most of all for baseball.
