Eh, Prielipp has been a write off for 12+ months. It sucks but that wasn't some surprise. The entire season was planned with it's knowledge.

Bo will have next year to prove this year was a bump in the road. He'll have another NCAAT level roster and every chance to safely get in.

Well it’s safe to say Brad’s seat is on fire.

We need 15-16 conference wins headed into Hoover next year.

12-18/13-17 and fighting to get to a regional/early exit from a regional is just not going to cut it next year.

Oh and beat UAB.

And I really hope Auburn makes it to Omaha (again) so hopefully we can put this scholarship mumbo jumbo behind us. But I’m sure our fans won’t.

If we don't sneak in last year, Bo is likely getting his pink slip tonight. Just a total coaching failure and a major program setback to miss a regional with this roster. Next year has to be make or break.

Alabama Baseball Not Selected to NCAA Regional (SI)

Of the 12 Southeastern Conference teams that made the SEC Tournament, the Crimson Tide, the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Kentucky Wildcats were the only three teams not selected to the postseason.

I don't think so. Every year until this one has been reasonably in line with a major rebuild (even if we were the 2nd team out or something last year).

This year is where it stalled badly. This team should have been a 14-16/15-15 and comfortably in team.

Definitely a WTF moment. I’m ok with the committee leaving us out, but not so much with them slipping Ole Miss into Miami instead, being a potential destination for Bama if we got in.

At the end of the day, we shouldn’t have put ourselves in a position to be squarely on the bubble… again. Not going to bitch about one team or another when we had plenty of opportunities to get the job done ourselves.

But… frick that. We swept them at their place, finished the season stronger, and definitely deserved it more than the Rebs. Glad they got in, in general, but snubbing us and UK in favor of Ole Miss is BS.

I think zero tourneys in 4 years would be a tough sell. 1 isn't much better either. Next year we should be in easily, or a change must be made.

He inherited a disaster and rebuilding from scratch with our structural issues is a more long term process. I think most of us felt pretty solid about things after last season.

But we're passed that now, which he deserves praise for, and moving forward "muh scholarships" isn't an excuse for finishing 12-17 and being in the bottom 4 of the league. It just isn't.

No, not next year. His arse needs to be canned right now. Nothing is changing next year. We may back door our way in one and then lose promptly on arrival.

[cough] If Landon Green and Brock Guffey didn’t choke against aTm Friday we would be in a regional [/cough]

Never been more excited for a senior class to pack their shite and leave.

Maybe, and if so he'll possibly be fired and his replacement will inherit a very solid roster and a program ready to go.

Just kind of collapsed at every big opportunity. And a team that from the outside appeared to have zero core leadership.

A team takes the attitude of its coach. What did our team do in every big moment?

Damn, NC State got screwed. Following up on last year's COVID loss in the CWS too lol.

Sure enjoyed being at the ballpark this year. Would have loved to see more W’s. The thing I’ll remember most about this season is the inconsistency. If hitting showed up, pitching collapsed. If pitching showed up, hitting collapsed. Zane got hot, Pinckney went cold. Rose got hot, Jarvis got cold. Etc, etc throughout the lineup. The baseball equivalent of whack a mole. Rarely had everyone firing on all cylinders at the same time, but when it happened, the team showed what they were capable of.

It’s easy to understand everyone’s frustration. Having watched the slow decline of the program, culminating with Gaspard driving it off into a ditch and Goff hitting the gas to flip it, catch it on fire and try to extinguish it with gasoline, I empathize with the mountain Bo had to climb. Is it as fast as I would like? No. Would anyone else have gone faster?

This is also the first time Bama has made back to back appearances in Hoover since 2015-2016. Not the measuring stick I have for the program, but a reflection of how far the administration allowed the program to fall. There’s no excuse for Bama not to be one of the top 64 teams. Period.

Now the transfer, draft, who shows up for fall waiting game begins. Thanks to everyone who helped discuss, opine and share their perspective on the program this season. We don’t all agree, but we do share a common interest in seeing Bama be the best they can be. Hopefully in our own little way, we helped create some interest in the program that will carry into next year. Until then, it’s going to be a long 9 months.
