Won't our RPI crack 40 after that win?
It might, but if we lose 2 straight (which is would no more wins would mean) it would probably fall back down to 42-43.

I will say I don't see how putting Ole Miss in over us at this point is defensible.

Same amount of SEC wins. Same RPI. We swept them on their home turf.

Yep - seems pretty obvious

Awesome night in Hoover! Made all the more exciting (in retrospect) by the nail biting win. Crowd got a little rowdy for Bama down the stretch too. Bama‘s game was the last one tonight. With so many games left to be played, they’ll get the day off tomorrow. Things are lining up nicely. Almost like a fairytale….
Roast Pig: Alabama Baseball Downs Arkansas 4-3 at SEC Tournament (SI)
The game signified the Crimson Tide's third win in a row over the Razorbacks in the last seven days.

Crimson Tide Outlasts 10th-Ranked Arkansas for 4-3 Win in SEC Tournament’s Second Round
Alabama baseball picked up a second win in the 2022 SEC Tournament with a 4-3 victory over 10th-ranked and third-seeded Arkansas on Wednesday evening at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The Crimson Tide is now 31-25 on the season and 2-0 in the league's postseason tournament.
Alabama was first on the board with two runs in the second and added one more in the top of the third. The Razorbacks struck for one in the home half of the third with the Tide countering for one in the top of the fourth to make it a 4-1 ballgame after four. Arkansas then narrowed the deficit to one with a two-run home run in the sixth but would get no closer. Alabama's bullpen combined to keep Arkansas off the board for the final 2.2 frames to secure the 4-3 win and a Thursday bye.
Following the two-run homer, Landon Green entered to record one out. Antoine Jean (5-1) followed, earning his fifth victory of the season thanks to an impressive outing. The left-hander tossed 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and a walk to go with three strikeouts for the win. Tide closer Dylan Ray shut the door with a strikeout to end the ballgame and notch his eighth save of the season and second in as many games.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"It was an awesome college baseball game. Fortunately for us, Arkansas helped us a little bit early. To our guys' credit, we took advantage of some mistakes that they made, and, really, the story of the game is that both bullpens were outstanding. There weren't very many hits in the back half of the game. I was really proud of our whole team, but especially those guys that pitched after Jacob McNairy gave us a good start today. Obviously, a big win for us on so many levels. I'm really happy for our kids and proud of them."

Bodes well for our pitching. The work on the mound has been efficient. That’s key in a tournament format.

our BP has been great.
Where have they been all year long. I mostly am referring to the MSU games where we blew big leads.
Jean coming out of the BP is good but we may need him to start. And our first game starter should be ready to pitch friday if need be as he only had 2 innings

Bubble teams to pull against
Need the bolded teams to lose today.

The focus of the at-large bubble race is moving to the SEC. Mississippi's elimination on Tuesday, combined with big wins this week for Alabama and Kentucky are starting to turn the SEC hierarchy into more of a jumble. In the ACC, NC State looks to have removed any bubble doubt with a 2-0 start to the week, while Clemson is facing a must-win game Thursday against Virginia Tech.
In addition to Clemson taking on Virginia Tech, the bubble matchups to watch are Old Dominion vs. Louisiana Tech in Conference USA and Kansas State vs. West Virginia in the Big 12. The Patriot League championship series is also set to conclude, as Bucknell and Army play a decisive game 3 in West Point, N.Y.

Any thoughts or opinions on who we prefer between the Aggies and Gators?
Posted on 5/26/22 at 10:10 am to Chadaristic
On one hand, we took the series against the Aggies. On the other, Florida was not impressive against USCe Tuesday night. I’m currently leaning towards Florida for us to get another W. Aggies are ranked which would help if we got a W there. They both have similar RPI’s I believe. Lots of optimism in the stadium that if we can win one more we would get in over Ole Miss.

He exuded the competitive joy that separates players.

MLB draft projections has Connor currently at 24 https://www.mlb.com/prospects/draft/
Connor Prielipp
LHP, Alabama
Scouting grades: Fastball: 60 | Slider: 70 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 55 | Overall: 50
Gatorade's Wisconsin high school player of the year and the state's top Draft prospect in 2019, Prielipp slid to the Red Sox in the 37th round because of his commitment to Alabama. He immediately became the Crimson Tide's No. 1 starter as a freshman and didn't allow a run while striking out 35 in 21 innings before the coronavirus pandemic ended the 2020 season. He looked like a potential No. 1 overall pick for 2022 before injuring his elbow in his first start as a sophomore, leading to Tommy John surgery last May. He returned to the mound with a bullpen workout in front of more than 100 evaluators in late May and is expected to showcase his stuff again at the Draft Combine.
Prielipp's slider is one of the most devastating pitches in the college class, sitting in the mid-80s and touching 90 mph with two-plane break that has it drop off the table as it approaches the plate. He also can elicit swings and misses with a low-90s fastball that peaks at 95 mph with run and downhill plane. He has a quick arm and could add more velocity after completing his rehabilitation from elbow reconstruction.
Prielipp hasn't used his changeup much but shows feel for an 82-85 mph offering with some sink. He pitches with confidence and while he doesn't have the smoothest delivery, he's athletic and locates his pitches where he wants. Assuming a return to full health, he has all the ingredients to become a frontline starter.
