If you think we aren’t gonna mush rush a QB that prefers to run more than he likes to pass you are lying to yourself. We will “contain” him and let a QB who can’t throw accurately past 20 yards pick us apart.

I feel like the mush rush hasn't really been a big thing with Golding until the UT game. Maybe I'm wrong. I remember people bitching up a storm when Kirby used to do it.

The question is…

Because of Daniels running ability, do we revert to mush rush?

We started Ricks. We sent pressure instead of Mush Rush. Maybe we are slightly changing.

Hopefully you're right, but I don't think the threat of Will Rogers running concerned us as much as the threat of Jayden Daniels taking off will concern us. Maybe we could still send pressure but have a spy for Daniels?

No, I think LSU is expecting us to Mush Rush them... so we need to Suprise them by not Mush rushing.

This game has become that much more difficult since LSU seems to have found their offense.
Thought this would be an easy win; not so certain now.

We absolutely mush rush every time we play a running qb. We just haven’t played many this year. With Daniel’s being a run first QB I would be utterly shocked if we let Will and Dallas pin their ears back and rush him. Our only hope is Daniel’s isn’t very accurate especially past 20 yards. Can we cover their receivers that remains to be seen but if we can do a decent job I think we can slow down their offense a lot. Problem is our offense sucks must of the time on the road and LSU’s defense is solid.

Our focus has to be the QB.,We need to demoralize him. Which means Will and Dallas have to dominate.

Despite the Tennessee game… our defense is pretty good.

LSU looked good against a weak 3 man front by Ole Piss… our D is much better than Mississippi’s

Fully expect us to make Daniels look like an NFL ready passer

10 is going to need to play a great game, he should have lots of 1:1s with JD on the scrambles

I am imagining Golding on the white board...

We should fake the mush rush to the left. No, we should fake the mush rush to the right. Wait...we think about mush rushing. We pretend to mush rush.

I have a bad feeling about this game. Another road game in a very tough environment. Won't be shocked to see us get behind early, sort of like the Tennessee game. Hopefully we learned something from the Tennessee game, particularly on defense.

It hasn’t replaced. It’s just been added by our 3rd year all American potential top overall draft pick

our on the road game plan, is run the kickoff out, dont make it to the 20, get a penalty for block in the back, start inside the 10. Slow running play to the right, no gain. Try a screen play to the right, get tackled on the line of scrimmage. On third down, Bryce looks around doesnt see anyone open and throws it away as he is being hit. We have a short kick, and they start on our 45. We have that down pat. Their student section is going crazy!

Well done and the truth. The only thing I would add is #11 to your block in the back on the kickoff.
