I think it's more a function of the skillsets around him. Somebody had to replace Byron Young's snaps which were harder to replace than Dale's. He's a little more dynamic to me than Keenan and Tim Smith and I don't think James Smith is quite ready. I'm sure the coaches think, why not try to get him singled up on a guard while someone else anchors against double teams in the middle. He also looks trimmed down from last year.

I think it’s a good thing. That way we have Keenan at nose and between the two over 600 pounds of girth. Should be tough to run on them.

My main concern with the defense is the D line. Gotta be stout on Saturday.

Not sure of the reason, but we have gone away from bringing in the two big Defensive Tackles in short yardage and have them blow holes open. I would love to see it brought back.
