Jalen Milroe needs to work on technique
I’m not as concerned about Milroe’s techniques as I am his mental assets and instincts. He simply can’t process quickly and is the worst instinctive runner I’ve seen at QB relative to his skill set.
Can those be corrected in an offseason?

He should hit that every time, and he wasn't even close yesterday.
I don't disagree but that particular play Jam had a guy directly in front of him and it probably threw Milroe off, and it likely would've been a loss had he caught it anyway.

Sure it can. This board told me without a doubt that Hurts, who had many of the same issues Milroe has, would never amount to anything other than a RB playing QB, and well, what is Hurts doing now?
Milroe improved throughout the entire season. Many of those things that you guys swore that he was incapable of doing he got better at, and led us to an SECCG victory over the #1 team on a 29 game win streak, and a playoff birth. He got better and better. One bad game against the #1 team, and people are acting like he is dogshit again.

Do you understand how fast division 1 college football is? Dudes are flying around out there and any QB that has to consistently catch a low snap that takes their eyes off the defense will look flustered.

Not even now. Look what he did at Oklahoma. These guys are the same type of people that were calling for anyone but Lamar in Baltimore.

Lol... what are you 12 years old ?
I was hoping he would develop into the best QB in the country, but hes clearly limited in what he can do.
LOL. You're the idiot that in another thread called the last play of the game a QB sneak. A 12 year old QB has a higher football IQ than you.

We need a real QB, not an athlete playing QB
Yes, we’d all like a healthy Tua or Mac back there. We don’t have it right this second.

Penix would have struggled behind our OL and #56

Ewers, Beck, Dart, Mccarthy, Travis, Nix, Williams, and Maye would have struggled behind our OL.

Once he took the ball and never looked left nor right, and simply dove into the pile from three yards away it became the definition of a poorly run QB sneak. Lol.
Sounds like it was supposed to be an rpo, but his processor blew up with the not perfect snap and decided diving from the five yard line and landing dead center their defense 3 yards short of thr goal line was the best course of action.
At least if he actually thows the option we had 3 vs 3 out there and maybe we get it in.

Are you stupid, simple, or slow? I think you might actually be Rolltide Willie. Latham got his arse blown up and his left leg tripped Milroe because he got pushed all the way behind the center.

Our OL is as talented as anyone minus Seth.
Its the coaching and lack of adjustments.
The UM coaches out schemed us, then adjusted much faster to anything we did.
Look... milroe, seth, rees, etc... it all on Nick Saban. Hes slipping, and for years now has been surrounded by less than stellar coordinators

Let's give Harbaugh some credit......called a brilliant game especially on defense

Hey man, go grab a natty light out of the fridge and sip on that while breathing into a paper bag with some paint in it to calm down. Talking football here and youre flailing about and attacking people on the internet. Maybe calm down a bit. Its all gonna be ok.

You don't know enough football to talk football. Which you've proven countless times.

The OL was atrocious in pass protection.
Yes but some of those were also on the QB. He can't set protection, he doesn't know where the rush is coming.

Saban last night after the game, "There was a couple times where we could have redirected the protection, which we kind of put on the O-line to a large degree, and we didn't do it."

Question, because I really don't know-how much falls on the Oline to ID blitzes and stunts, and unblocked guys, and how much falls on Milroe? Obviously they have to work together and communicate, but can't 1 of our 5 Olinemen clearly see that someone is going to come unblocked, and communicate that to Milroe? Or does that actually happen and Milroe just doesn't know what protection to call? Can't the Oline just call the protection themselves? Like I said, its a sincere question, I am ignorant in this regard.

Before last night I would assume protection is tied to the play, and could be checked by the QB if needed. Sabans comments last night seemingly put checking the protection on the OL. Which should have been 56's strong suit with him having a lot of experience, but obviously not.
