I think we are in good shape at QB, unless more than one leaves. Look at how good our third string QB (Holstein) that transferred to Pitt, played this year.

Even if that were true, and I think it’s an overstatement, I am not convinced there’s a RB on our roster who can be “The Man.”

How would we know? It’s hard to show greatness when you get less than 10 touches per game. Especially when your QB can’t run a read option correctly to save his soul. There was one Saturday where Miller ran across the formation in front of Milroe on a read option. Nobody at all ran at Miller but Milroe pulled it and ran it around the other end. If he had left the ball with Miller, it would have been a big gain if not a TD. He was all alone from what I could see.

We badly need WR talent. I mean guys who can win aerial balls and make plays.

RB jumps out to me as the biggest need for an upgrade, even if it’s not the most important position group.

The little I saw of Hale, I definitely think he could be a #1 receiver. Him, Williams, and Bernard could make one of the best groups in the nation. I’ve been a Milroe supporter at times this season, but a better passer that can read a defense and see the field will instantly make this group a top notch unit. That being said, I’d have no issues with going out and finding another target in the offseason

I saw that too. It would’ve been a huge gain but Milroe pulled it an ran into the pile for a 1 yard gain

No chance we take a QB out the portal unless Simpson leaves. You aren’t pulling a QB out the portal without an NIL package. From an NIL perspective, for our offense, I think we throw money at an elite WR or stud OL and that’s it. Rest will go to defense to improve upon a solid foundation that desperately needs a disruptive pass rusher
