Milroe just has limitations and I’m not sure he’ll ever be consistently good. It certainly doesn’t help the play selection SUCKS and offensive line was erratic at best.

My point from the big board:

Milroe is very good, but he has reached his ceiling. Sayin, or any other QB, would have to be demonstrably better or you could lose the team.

Milroe had a good year but still has plenty of question marks. Persuade Simpson to come back and give him a shot to win the job.
No objections.

But Reese and the OL lost the game tonight..

It’s the opposite.

He’s not great and he he’s going to end up being a great college QB.

Where the frick do y’all come from? I swear we never watch the same game.

I think you will find that you are in the minority here

There is no better endorsement of a take than this board being against it

My fear is that Saban thinks he would "lose the team" if Milroe isn't named the starter.

Saban 10 years ago wouldn't give a frick about team feelings, but now...

OC make him fumble too?

OC didn't coach him to switch the ball to the outside arm when running.

What happened tonight happened. The qb is the place we will have to make the largest gains for the coming season. From what I’ve read and heard Sayin will be the starting qb by the second scrimmage of the spring. Too much talent not to be. We will see.

Unless the rest of the QBs are in a car crash or something there’s a 0.00% chance Sayin starts game 1 next season.

Saban gave in to the players in 2020. Right or wrong, he did. Had an awesome season, but the dynamic changed that season. Players wanted power, money and control and they got it... mainly because of what was going on in society at large. Now coaches just go along, happy just to protect their own multimillion dollar salaries. The starting QB shouldn't be determined by the "locker room"...but now you've given in and there's no going back.

We saw what happened in 2016 and almost all of 2017 with Hurts. It took getting shut out in the first half at the end of season for the backup to get a real shot.

There will be no open QB competition and we all know it
