Honestly they could probably use the Kapernick thing if they wanted to as an escape.
Honestly, a university doesn't want to get publically involved with politics.

Yeah could be a home run...or could be a shite storm. You want ESPN showing highlights of wins...not doing special programs mixing the program in with lowlifes like Colin Kaepernick

I agree and thought I said as much in rest of post. Just an option I wouldn’t use.

Some of y'all worry about some very trivial stuff.

Adidas doesn't just make a uniform and say here you go, the school has to approve it.
Saban has already said he will not change the uniform.

I get the value of having Nike gear and how it helps with recruits and such. However, we didn't even get a competing bid to even take back to Nike. That just seems straight up odd. What makes it even more odd is that this was supposed to be an area of expertise with Battle considering his background with Collegiate Licensing. The BOT approved the deal so maybe there's something about it that we don't know. Some people are saying UA is going to try to find a way to rework the deal before 2025 so let's hope that is the case.
As said earlier in the thread, the Battle tenure looks worse the further we get removed from it. I'm hopeful for Byrne, but the Crimson Standard project, while shows a great vision, could chase away a lot of loyal fans.

Agreed. While I like the vision of being proactive on downsizing and sprucing up BDS....the glass on the outside does not lend itself to being "classic" college stadium.
I know when Mal Moore was overseeing the other 2 expansions, he had a hand in picking out and helping design the look we have today. Very very good look IMO.
I like the idea of everything except the glass on the outside shell of the stadium.

I agree. Its a modern look that could look out of date in 20 years. The South Endzone facade is classic and should be the model.
And I still think splitting the South Endzone Upperdeck looks horrible. Would rather just take down the whole section instead of splitting it.

Why not submit a petition to the admin? Byrne seems responsive. But you will never know till you try.

I will sign it if someone gets it started. I honestly don't know enough about the issue. But it does seem like a travesty. And we all know the UA BOT can be elitist and slow to change. Wake em up!
Don't be afraid to point out UA's huge non current liabilities. With all of the spending around campus over the last fifteen years, this university must be much more careful about contracts.

Did not know about their swimming uniforms but their football unis were very good. Colors and quality. Liked the 'R' logo too. Awbarn used them for awhile even after most schools had ditched them.
