I’d give a lot to take Williamson’s, Bristow’s, and TBB’s to get Lendeborg who was literally playing in the state of AL last year. We’d be a 2 seed with a legit NC shot and Mich would probably be a 3 seed with minimal chance. There are examples of large $ rosters flopping, but Mich and AZ are both high $ rosters.

I think it was bigger than NiL. Yaxel wanted to be a 2/3, I bet we wanted him to play at the 4 because we had Allen, Bethea...etc

Think he chose Michigan because they had the size to allow him to play where he wanted.

Kind of a moot point without knowing exactly what any player anywhere is making.

However, I'd guess that we have a solid NIL budget but not the kind where we could say pay 1 player triple what the rest of the roster gets and then have the funds to also raise returning starters like Philon, Sherrell etc.

I promoted rock shows for years. It's one thing to have 2 bands agreed and add 3 more that make less money.

However, add a band the others see as fairly equal for more money and you have to negotiate with everyone again.

If we don’t have the money to get guys like him and proven upperclassmen that can shine in March, we’re not winning a NC under Oats. If there are 15-20 teams with more money, at least one of them is going to be better every single year. E8 or a surprise F4 run will be our ceiling.

That’s better than we’ve ever had so I won’t complain a lot, but we probably need to temper our hopes of bringing home the ultimate prize under Oats.

Who can say what our spending will be like in the future. We may run into a cheap group of gumps so we can throw down cash on a contender to champion differentiator.

Yea, and Alabama could have used Derrion Reid, Jaden Bradley, Nick Pringle, Nimari Burnett, et al., even Mo Wague, but they don’t have them for various reasons - mostly, either money and/or fit. One can always whine.

He was oh, so close in the opener vs St. john’s, with 17&9. Alabama doesn’t win that game without him. Possibly don’t beat Hofstra without him. He was injured a good bit in between. Nate has said that he, Williamson and Bethea have had great attitudes in spite of their various “issues”.

People who use words like this to describe analytical talk typically have problems controlling their emotions. Hope life is ok for you brother.

Switching subjects, I honestly am not sure if I want FL to win this game or not. I almost always root for SEC over B10, but Golden is such a tool.

It’s not starting at 9. It will be 35 minutes after Florida game ends.

March Madness Pro Tip: Florida fans living close made these tickets ridiculously expensive. I bought the cheapest ticket I could find 10 minutes after tip.

As soon as Florida was upset the entire lower bowl emptied out in disgust(also it’s Sunday at 10pm)

Now we’re balling on a budget
