Not entirely. Trump's was about Federal grants, while Biden's is about contracts. There is a distinct difference, and contractors are under more stringent guidelines than grant recipients.

The key though is in the wording of the ruling. It speaks of federal funds without regard of the type, and the conditions placed on getting those funds.

Like I said earlier, I won’t be betting the trailer payment on the outcome but I think the plaintiffs will have a good shot.

The ironic twist is they will be citing the same cases and arguments the left used against Trump.

Just another example of something being utterly horrible, yet perfectly legal because Congress has ceded almost all their power to the Executive.

Not to mention another example of how FedGov controls almost everything through either giving out or withholding taxpayer dollars.

LSU is the most woke school in the conference now. A democratic governor and a new, lovely chancellor. When theyre finished renaming buildings maybe theyll look at Harsin. LSU was also the first school to require the fans have a vaccine to attend games. Theyve since ended that policy, but BR is not a city Harsin would enjoy with his anti-vax stance.

Won't get any argument from me. We have a massive crisis right now with our legislative branch not legislating and ceding more and more power to the executive and judicial branches every passing year. The current model isn't sustainable for very much longer.

On what grounds are you claiming the Universities are not federal contractors.

Almost any business of any size is in bed somehow with the federal government.

That's why they have this power. They take our money by force, under the threat of a gun, then bully us into submitting with that same money, under threat of termination.

My company's sending out the same email today. We do some business with the feds...so it applies to all of us, all our contractors AND the vendors who do business with us (on site on a regular basis)

I'd love it if we could keep the political pillow fight off the bama board. Not gonna happen I know, but oh well.

Sounds like something a democrat would say.

I'm totally not about politics though. Totally. Super serious.

If true, it's dumb. LSU is going to have mandates as well.

and the real kicker in this whole thing, Executive Orders are NOT law and do not have to be followed. but then again, when the dictator has all the power and the people are no longer willing to fight for their rights, it doesn't really matter if it's a law or not smh...

This one didn't try to create a law. It instructed Federal agencies to update their contracts with contractors requiring vaccination. Contracts have to be followed by contractors or they lose the contract.

That seems very, very hard to believe.

You have to show proof of vaccination status or proof of a negative test just to go to an LSU football game.
