quote:Nope, in the event of a 3-way tie for 2nd place behind A&M (Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss), the head-to-head doesn't matter since all 3 didn't play each other and nobody went 2-0 against that group. It then goes to the SOS tiebreakers, on which Alabama currently holds the edge, but could be passed up by Georgia if Vandy loses out and one or two other results happen. We are not guaranteed a spot in the SECCG with a win over Auburn.
It is guaranteed if we win out that we play in the SECCG. The tie breaker is head-to-head and we beat UGA. So we only have to beat Auburn and we will be in Atlanta

i'm of the opinion that this situation is exactly what former big ten commish jim delaney wanted to control when he demanded a committee. no big ten sign off on the playoffs without a committee was his stance, iirc. now we had an announcement back in the summer that sos would carry more weight. yet here we are with no sign of sos having any meaning. just a committee propping up the b1g and notre dame. oh well, same o same o...

Not only all this, but we are going to beat the barn. We are just better than them. They will have a number of wrinkles on offense, but we are going to play well and play clean and beat them. We good.

thank you. If the team cant beat Auburn and A&M, they cant win a championship anyways.

In the end if we cannot win out including a&m in the SECCG we do not belong in the playoffs.
We play to our ability and we can beat anyone.

I get what you’re saying. You’re a CPA and work in the direct approach. I’ll use the proof of guilt approach. It’s more than likely if Bama beats Auburn they are going to the SECCG than not. :)
But yeah as for playoffs. A lot of football left.
If OSU, TT lose that probably doesn’t help where if OU and Oregon lose I think it does help.
