Guys enough of the BLM stuff. Please don’t get political here. Absolutely no reason for it.

With better coordinators and coaches helping instill the Saban culture it never would’ve taken root.

But he was basically on his own and with NIL it got away from him.

dont know how anyone would know any of this unless they are just good friends with players on the team. How would old timers know any of this? Who would be telling the administration about this? Just seems very far fetched.

Don’t take offense to this but former players, boosters, and donors have a ton of connections and inside information. I’ve been hearing this for almost 2 weeks. I spoke with my guy, Twisted spoke with his, all the stories line up. It sucks. But don’t think for a second there isn’t power and info from the above.

I wont bring it up again(though it is certainly relevant to this topic) out of respect for mods. I thought politics was taxes, legislation, immigration, spending, etc. Not sure when society fads became politics.

It just stirs a pot we don’t need to stir. I just want to keep it on the topic at hand. I know it was briefly in the program but I don’t think it’s connected.

That genuinely is disheartening to hear. I feel very sorry for Coach DeBoer.

Most of what is said aligns with on field product.

Are we saying shite really hit the fan after Vandy?

As well as he’s compensated, if this stuff is accurate he’s got to be wondering what the frick he got himself into.

It’s crazy right now. I truly hope we have a good showing against Missouri. We need something. A spark.

I take it these certain players are only concerned with marketing themselves over winning a championship and could care less about the program.

Do they not care that if the shite hits the fan about being called out and exposed?

Everyone ragging on his arse about what he is wearing while his players are shitheads.

I guess making millions helps though

This part is my speculation based on a few early pieces of info but DeBoer let the crew do their thing, we get surprised punched in the face by Vandy and panic and finger pointing started. Now we have clicks, sloppy internals, and shite on field product. It would almost remind you of a team not well rehearsed right?

We have always had some Eddie Haskells from Leave it to Beaver on this team. Even Saban would get duped by some, and they all lacked talent so they made up for it with their schtick.

Milroe flat out hustled his way into sweet NIL deals, and good for him for following his script.

The problem with that is in most cases you will get exposed and thats what is happening

I still think hes a man of character. If youve coached as long as he has, youve dealt with some shite. If youve won as much as he has, youve definitely handled yourself well. I dont think hes dumb. He may have to pull a few weeds but I think hes got the stuff to get this right. We will have to have some patience

If exposed would they own up to it or lie and try to damage the univ in other ways?

Makes one wonder exactly how clued-in DeBoer was prior to accepting the job? I mean, you have to think there was some sort of discussion between him and Saban. At least afterwards.

At any rate, he certainly now knows a lot more about being in the white hot spotlight of SEC and Alabama football. The salary he’s making probably doesn’t feel like quite the bargain he first imagined.
