Ok. If you talk sports long enough, you might be able to pretend to know what you are talking about occasionally.
I see what you mean now.
I see what you mean now.

Ok. Since you persist.
My comment was...
"He's a mediocre passing quarterback and a very good running quarterback."
You replied...
"So to say he will never get better and always be a mediocre passing QB is low IQ."
I'll tell you what's low IQ. That's a total lack of reading comprehension. In fact, it's damned stupid.
Just go ahead and make up shite. It doesn't matter if it's true or not.

Would you be willing to say he’s playing good enough to win and he’s also getting better?

I might have been willing 10 minutes ago to discuss it with you in reasonable, rational, and valid terms, but now I'm just logging off.

Nah, I'm not accepting that anymore.

Lol no. Don’t go

I kinda felt that way during parts of the MS State game, but not anymore. I’m cautiously optimistic now.

I couldn't disagree more.
Spoiled fanbase sees the best team in football get into a dogfight with a top-25 team in the road in week 10 and cries like little girls.
Other teams play good football, too, ya know.
I'm just glad people are slighting us a bit and talking up the opposition. Should be the most motivated team we've had going in to the final stretch in quite some time.
Also, OP, maybe you, and others like you, would be better off cheering for a less manly sport. Maybe soccer or some kind of gay porn olympiad.

I thought this board was safe from troll threads?

No one is trolling, actually. But it's in that window between late Saturday and early Tuesday when the horrible, horrible part of our fanbase feels empowered enough to b1tch. This is actually just a normal Monday in November on this site.

And one more thing, OP, I'm sorry for taking my frustration with a large group of folks out on you. I was too harsh. Roll Tide, all.

The thing that is off is that the whole country isn't riding our jock, and it's the best thing that could've happened.

Sometime around 1944, somewhere in a crowded Tokyo bar, some Japanese fellow, having had one too many sake, in a low hushed voice, suggested that maybe, given that the imperial navy was getting its clocked cleaned ... just maybe, the emperor wasn’t really a God. I suspect he he caught a lot of grief for that.
I am not that guy.
But I will say that I too feel that something is amiss. And my theory is that the team lacks hunger. And I suspect this lack of hunger is a reflection of a deminished hunger within the man himself. And I think this is also reflected on the recruiting front.
Saban’s decision to stay at Bama and to maintain a program and put down roots was the result of his own personal evolution that, if you think about it, was certain to be accompanied by a certainty mellowing. And I think as he mellows, the team mellows.
Now this is not to say he is a pussycat. Just a less fearsome gorilla. And I’m not saying he become a laggard. He’s just a little more balanced as a person.
And I welcome the new Coach Saban. And I respect the personal growth that has apparently led to a more thoughtful less obsessive perspective. But the fact is, like a aging heavyweight champ, the decline is at first almost imperceptible, brief moments of mediocrity nestled snuggly between all the moments of greatness. And prehaps these little tell-tale signs are what we are picking up on.
This doesn’t mean the dynasty is over, or that there are no more championships to come. What it does mean is that nothing lasts forever.

Coach has mellowed and has gained more perspective but there's absolutely no way his fire to win and be the best has diminished. Alot of people are setting themselves up to look silly if this team gets it done. I ll never ever doubt this program until we have a 9-3 or 8-4 type yr. As prevatt said it's just a spoiled mentality a portion of our fanbase has.our team never folded last week despite having many chances to do so. It was a TEAM win in every sense. It's also gonna be a shame that jalen isn't gonna be appreciated fully by many until he's gone. But coach Bryant and coach Stallings would have loved him...That I'm sure of.
