Something is off. Not sure. Not the same team. Hunger doesn't seem to be there

Could be the OL....could be be the DL.....lots of injuries.....Hurts not consistent, run game doesn't have a rythm, lots of drops, LB position is thin, Dbs don't communicate, Minkah not 100%, Dabol game plan off....

Something is off. Can't put my finger on it. This team is different but not sure. Something IS off.....of that I am certain

Injuries are the main problem

Yeah, we are injury hit. When you're missing four Lbs things will seem off.

Also Hurts not consistent? Sometimes I wonder what the heck realm some of you are from. Show me the many QBs that are outplaying him?

Unrealistic expectations. If he isn't absolutely perfect we have to hear this crap.

Has nothing to do with hunger or something being off. They're just not as good. Look at how loaded we were the last couple of years. Allen, Tomlinson, Jackson, Foster, Anderson, Williams and Humphrey were all top 50-ish players and most of them have proven that immediately in the NFL. That's not easily replaced no matter how well you recruit; even more so with the injuries we've suffered.

Our fanbase just needs to be realistic at this point. I'm still holding out hope for a title run and we have as good a chance as anyone else but every remaining game from here on out should we make that run is basically a coin flip (excluding Mercer of course).

One thing off has been our tackling ability. Not good this year.

One measurement of consistency would be completion percentage

since you asked

He is 15 completed passes over the entire season from being top 10 in completion percentage. I'm sure there have been enough drops and throw-aways to cover that.

Because other receivers on other teams never drop passes, and nevermind that our guys were very highly rated.

But yeah. The "throw-aways" are concerning.

The point is that there isn't a big difference between top 10 completion percentage and where Hurts is. Hurts is playing well. He is playing well enough for us to win a championship. What else does he have to do?

The guy asked how many qbs are ahead of him. That would be 66 in completion pct. I don't think I even want to know what it is 20+ yards downfield.

We should just accept that it is what it is. He's a mediocre passing quarterback and a very good running quarterback.

I just want some linebackers back.

What I'm saying is that the difference between numbers 1 and 66 isn't as big as it sounds. You can call him what you want but he made money throws this past Saturday that saved our season.

amen to that. The down linemen haven't been great either, but I think getting our linebackers back would make them look a hell of a lot better.

His passing is improving every week. We'll find out what he is capable of over the next month. Last year was basically a throw away year outside of experience. They did not do so well developing his passing game (Saban admitted as much).

I have 0 worries about the offense and I think we can compete in a shootout. I'm more worried about LB depth. We can compete with anyone with anyone but what happens if we lose another LB.

I think you'll see some more fire during the IronBowl. All the upper class men have been to the SEC Championship and playoffs 3 years in a row. The season turns up to a 10 starting next weekend.

Have you watched his last two games? Honest question. If you had, you would have seen a passing QB with the ability to take off. Plus he keeps getting better every single week especially getting better in big games. So to say he will never get better and always be a mediocre passing QB is low IQ.

But I didn't say he will never get better. I don't generally speak in absolute terms.

Lately, I have been fooling with keyboard. I am a very mediocre player and that is just a fact, but if I worked really hard at it, I could probably improve.

See?
