So apparently an Auburn defensive player simulated the snap on that 2nd & Goal play...

The one where Seth Mclaughlin snapped it passed an unsuspecting Jalen Milroe which caused us to have to pull that miraculous 4th & 31 out of our asses. Saban was asked a question about it on a conference call from a reporter. He (the journalist) claimed that it appeared the Auburn safety clapped just before Mclaughlin snapped the ball.

Sure enough...watch the very beginning of the video, it does look like Auburn's safety creeped up to the line and clapped his hands right before Mclaughlin snapped the ball. And the back judge was right there.

A blown call by this crew? I'm shocked.

Also shows how the barn just has to cheat to have any hope of a win.

Crew also blew 2 calls on the next to lstast play of the game.

After we crushed their QB and the ball went flying into the endzone, an Auburn OL grabs #93 by the leg and tackles him. Then, the Auburn lineman who picked up the ball threw it forward and should have resulted in an intentional grounding in the endzone for a safety.

Missed both calls. I'm glad the safety no call wasn't reviewed since the clock was ticking, but what if the barn pulls off a chinese fire drill 98 yard TD after that no call?

Hell, on the final kickoff, #84 literally trucked a ref and ran into a pile to fight...no flag. Apparently he suffered a dislocated shoulder.

Makes the victory that much sweeter. They’d sell their firstborn child for a W over Bama. Meanwhile the Tide just casually rips their hearts out on a 4th and 31 game winning TD.

I don't know... Seth has a history of premature snapulation.

It is true, I called it when it happened, this is one of many reasons why I hate the 5-7 yard Shotgun, get under center and play smash mouth, 2009 to 2013 it worked out great, then we changed, now we can't run the ball very well

Seth reaction time isn’t that fast even in slow motion.

Did you think slow motion would speed up his reaction time?

Yea, that really didn’t make any sense.

I slowed YouTube to .5x and it makes it easy to see the Auburn player clap and then the snap. Looks intentional.

I don't think that was an intentional clap to mess with the snap count. He was clearly looking around trying to yell at teammates.

However, the rule doesn't differentiate between doing it on purpose to mess with the snap and doing it to get teammate's attention. The defense isn't allowed to clap. Period.

Watching it in slow motion it's obvious that's what happened. I'm not sure it's intentional, but he claps and then Seth snaps it. The Safety is 7 yards from the ball, almost lined up perfectly in front of him, Seth's head is down, he claps and Seth snaps it like it was Milroe calling for it.

Hell I went back and watched that play, it is hard to tell, but I think he was down before the ball came out anyways.

Should have been a safety twice

After the lineman picked it up, stumbled and tossed the ball forward everyone was yelling SAFETY SAFETY and then it was like our entire collective conscious realized the better alternative was probably just for the clock to run out and so everyone immediately transitioned to doing the referee RUN THE CLOCK motion
