Not sure what is going on here. This is a tweet by Aaron Suttles:

News: Alabama tight ends and special teams coach Jay Graham is expected to no longer be with the program by the end of the week, sources tell The Athletic.

Just a guess but it may be related to the Tennessee investigation. Pruitt was interviewed for seven hours by the NCAA within the last day. Graham may have been mentioned in the examination.

Nope, losing a recruiter of his stature is never a good thing. But if our hand was forced, then so be it I guess.

Sucks we missed on Larry Scott, he would have been great. Was hoping for Boulware when he was mentioned. Sucks to lose a coach this way but we knew the risk when it comes to the dealings in Knoxville. Back to the assistant coach hunt.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — First-year tight ends and special-teams coach Jay Graham is expected to no longer be employed by Alabama by the end of the week, sources told The Athletic on Tuesday evening. Graham has been on the job less than two months after being hired away as Tennessee’s running backs coach. He was replacing Jeff Banks, who went with Steve Sarkisian to join the Texas staff this offseason. Details of his departure weren’t immediately available. Alabama was not in a position to comment on the matter Tuesday evening. Coach Nick Saban spoke glowingly of Graham’s addition when he joined his staff. “We are pleased to be able to add Jay Graham to our staff,” Saban said. “Jay is well respected across the country for his knowledge of the game and his ability to recruit. He has experience at numerous schools across the SEC footprint with a proven track record for his ability to teach the game and develop young men both on the field and in life.” It was an offseason of turnover for the Alabama coaching staff, which lost Sarkisian, Kyle Flood (offensive line), Charles Huff (running backs) and Banks (tight ends) on offense and Karl Scott (secondary) on defense. Alabama began spring practice Friday. There is no word on who’ll assume Graham’s duties for the remainder of the spring.

I think we'll see analyst taking over the TE/ST and it'll be good opportunity for them to step up and show Saban options.

I don't think he has been picked up by anyone yet, so maybe he could still be in play.

Seems the only analyst available for this would be Will Lawing?*TE Texans or Johnathan Galante *Va Tech ST Grad Asst current ST Analyst - Qual Control Analyst,
not sure which others have relative experience
Maybe one of these guys would hold down the position during Spring as replacement is found. Not sure of the depth of Todd Watson's experience?

Wasn’t he kind of why we got a bump with Ty Simpson? I doubt it makes any difference in the long run though.

Yeah, Graham and Ty's dad coached together in the past. With Ty's dad being a college coach himself, I'm sure if this does have to do with the UT investigation, then he would fully understand what is going on. And hopefully Graham won't hold any kind of grudge for this, and try and poison the well with him.

I don’t see where he said that. Just that he’s resigned “effective immediately”.

Glad to hear it doesn't seem to be NCAA related. If it is something personal, I hope everything works out. Sucks though, was not expecting a late March/early April coach replacement .

Supposedly an “off field” issue that has led Graham to this decision.
