Not only am I ok with 11, I prefer it for cupcake games. Over and done, spend the rest of the day watching the marquee matchups. If you are at the stadium, the game is ending in the heat of the day instead of starting in it.

BTW, you can really tell who the lazy national sportswriters are in stories like this. The default is always "Poor Alabama" instead of actually addressing the story.

You play shitty teams, you get shitty TV times.

Unless you are basically anyone else in the conference the last 2 years, sure.

When I pointed out the September scheduling disparity last week, it wasn’t a complaint. Didn’t want to see hundreds of fans treated for heat problems and wanted the SEC office to acknowledge that one member is allowed to set its own kickoff times. Neither has happened yet.

Sounds like State has serious issues at their game last weekend, which kicked off basically the same time ours did (and had very similar weather).

People there are pretty irrate at the times but also apparently their stadium staff was abysmal.

The medics at the Bama game had to treat over 130 folks with heat related illnesses.

But Cobra, think of all the viewers SECN would have lost if Alabama/NMSU, Mississippi St/USM and Florida/UT Martin were all at the same time.

I mean - tens of people!

It's ridiculous. The SEC commissioner is an empty suit, so that just makes it worse

The SEC network has been one of the biggest disappointments that I can remember

They’ll rearrange the entire SEC schedule, putting the conference at a competitive disadvantage, just because Auburn didn’t want to play UGA & Alabama on the road in the same year.

However Sankey & some SEC Network executive in Charlotte are saying deal with it when we just want a bone thrown our way with start times in the first few weeks of the season.

This is a subject that’ll be forgotten in a few weeks but it’s ridiculous.

Yeah it was embarrassing. I was also at the game we lost to LaTech on a last second pass. I tell my nephews all the time they don’t know how good they got it, they know nothing but Bama winning and being dominant.

We don’t all live in Tuscaloosa. I planned on bringing the family to this game. I’d have to leave at 4am to get there in time to see the team get off the busses. So it’s a flat out no go now.

Southern Miss would beat the shite out of Georgia Southern and Northwestern State, yet LSU gets both of those games at night.

It’s not about playing shitty teams.

I live 3 hours from Tuscaloosa. There isn’t a wrong answer. I would just rather leave home at 5a instead of getting home at 10p.
