Guess I am way off on DP but I just didn’t think he was the type to put himself out there on something like this . He will look like a fool if not true

He’s not putting himself out there at all. It’s the exact opposite. Regardless of what Sark does he can say his sources were right.

OK if Brando is saying anything positive for Bama then it may have some legs.

Chip Brown has less credibility than any of the others mentioned. Sark may be going
To Texas, but Chip Brown being the source makes it questionable to me. Brown has been outed so many times for providing fake info, it’s hilarious to me that he is still employed. I guess it’s because he is a huge Texas humor that will report anything that benefits or is positive to Texas.

I wish I still had his “insider” list of candidates when Charlie Strong got the job. Tier 1 were very successful NFL coaches, Saban Urban Meyer. Saban or Urban may have even been tier 2 if I remember correctly. Relatively successful college head coaches were Tier 3. Strong wasn’t even a candidate that Texas was interested in and all the candidates were interested and Texas was just trying to choose according to Chip.

His reporting around conference reorganization was hilarious also. He first reported that Texas was the lynchpin to all the reorg rumors/activity at the time. Then he reported that Texas was trying to save the Big 12 conference and portray them as the hero. All clearly intended to manipulate. I love the fact that Texas A&M told Texas the and the bitches to get bent.

Chip Brown was the guy that gave the following scoops-
Bob Stoops to Auburn
Miss Terry in Austin house hunting
Texas A&M won’t ever leave the Big 12
And his lists of people lined up to replace Mack Brown

I’ll wait until I see Sark dressed in burnt Orange before I melt.

Now Bruce Feldman saying he did not turn it down!

Have seen it reported that Steve Sarkisian has turned down the Texas head coaching job. I'm told that is not correct.

When it comes to our program, I trust no one but Cecil. He is yet to say anything about it to my knowledge. That makes me think we are at least making a play to keep him.

I think he ends up in Austin ultimately.

Agree. I'd not be surprised if the discussion hasn't already happened that no official announcement will occur until after the NCG.

With the early signing period, getting in early to salvage a year 1 class isn't as pressing.

If he is at UTx, good luck to him. He has his work cut out for him there changing climate, working within the UTx culture and reestablishing some prome recruiting grounds eaten up by the SEC and OU.

I think the fact that nothing official has been said in Tuscaloosa speaks volumes about the veracity of this story. If it were incorrect, don't you think the SID would have been all over it releasing a statement clarifying that while Sark may be a candidate for the job, nothing has been decided as of yet? Just saying.

And Texas can't say anything officially because being a public university, they have to go through the motions of a search and interviews, etc.

TWatts:

We are seeing the reports that Sark to Texas is done, and the reports that it’s not done, and that he turned it down. Lol

So far all we can tell you is that a couple of sources “expect” him to take the job. But again, nothing is ever official until it’s officially announced and we’ve seen things fall through in the past. But it’s hard to believe Texas fired Tom Herman without having their next coach in place.

With that said nothing has ever surprised us with a coaching search and we are monitoring the situation. But as things stand now our sources indicate they think he is taking the job.

We will let you know if we hear more.

I mean yeah, if he wasn’t taking the job UA folks would have said so by now, but that doesn’t mean him going is a done deal either. It’s possible it’s up in the air.

I expect an announcement he’s Texas bound by the end of today or tomorrow afternoon though.

Probably agreed in principle but working out details and nothing is in writing yet if I had to guess.

I'm having an internal battle over loving when Tim Brando makes a fool of himself and Sark staying.
