(Tua is) going to be the starter. He looked very good. One person indicated to me that right now, there’s a competition for backup.”

Not the intelligent ones.
Daboll proved himself to be barely competent. It's not even debatable. I'm glad he never got the chance to ruin Tua.
I hope Locksley is more capable as OC.

He is but more importantly Dan Enos is coaching our quarterbacks and I think he is top 3 or so in the country.

Definitely a great hire with Enos. Imagine what he can do with a guy like Tua.
And of course Kuligowski as the new DL coach. He was turning Missouri recruits into big time NFL prospects, imagine what he'd do with the blue chips we get...
I also really love the Gattis and Golding hires

The fact that some fans still believe this is comical. So the guy who wanted Tua to start all along is "barely competent"? Yeah, we all saw how "barely competent" he was when he finally had a passing QB who wasn't completely incompetent.

Finebaum with the breaking news... Anyone who saw the spring game already knows this.

Original post reminded me of comments by Husker HC Scott Frost following the day after Tua's throw.
"It was a decision I don't know I would have been courageous enough to make. That's the answer you want to hear. The other answer is that Tua is pretty obviously better and they had 12 games to figure that out and didn't," Scott Frost told ESPN's Sam Khan Jr. "Coach Saban is above criticism with everything he's accomplished, so I don't mean it that way, but I recruited Tua out of high school and knew what he could do and it doesn't surprise me that he did what he did. Jalen's a great player, too. That was a very bold and courageous move and I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier [in the season]."
