At least, we've been through the Francione/Price/Shula years. These newer/younger fans are going to have a hard time.

Saban caved to a bunch of kids pitching a fit because their favorite dude didn’t get to start.

A lot of that was caused due to probation.

We aren't on probation now.

I think that we still have a good chance of winning the west, but only if the oline magically gels.

One of you fricking retards dreamed this up and now it's getting spewed everywhere, like there's something behind it other than ignorant fans shaking their fists about "these kids today."

You can't name who or where it started, but you have the clairvoyance to declare it a made up story. Pot. Meet the kettle.

100%. People are pretending the issues with the blocking just started happening and are now assuming it's on purpose because their guy didn't look good because of it. If people had their eyes open and weren't only paying attention to Milroe they would have seen the protection issues the week before. People called out Proctor and McClellan for purposefully missing blocks when my Dad and I were talking about how bad the OL (specifically Proctor) and both RBs were at pass blocking the week before. The problems didn't change, the QBs did.

We can disagree on who the QB should be, but let's avoid delusional talk about how one of the most infamously tough coaches of all time has suddenly gone "soft" and is now "letting the players run the show" because we're having a down year.

Exactly. They see a rumor they like started on a message board, and decide it's true because it pushes all their bias buttons.

I thought, and still think probably, that Simpson is the best option at QB. But I'm not fantasizing about player or coach motives or psyche to explain away shitty performance on the field.

I just watched it. Saban has absolutely no fire at all. He even kinda sounds depressed.

I don't pretend to be an insider, unless I'm pretending to be an insider. With that being said...

It's CLEAR from the past two years that accountability is slipping.

An easy test....
- How many 10+ penalty games did we have from 2008-2021?
- How many 10+ penalty games have we had from 2022-2023?

I have a personal belief that there is less pride in CFB than before because of the NIL. That's just the state of CFB, no one is at fault for that.

Did you see the video of him walking into the locker-room for the rain delay?

Definition of no fire.

After what we saw against a really bad USF team how could you not also come to this conclusion?

It isn't like we think Milroe is prime Joe Montana. We just realize the best we can do is lean on his speed and his big arm.

We just need our OC to actually scheme around that and not have him drop back expecting him to make NFL reads like Bill O'Brien expected.

Use his legs and speed. Use his big arm.

Make teams have to guess which one we're doing and use speed of play and misdirection to cause confusion.

Uh…I don’t believe “freaking retard” is a pronoun that we as a fan base “identify with”. I believe that “pronoun identifier” is reserved for the AU fan base.

Well then enlighten us. The onus is on the ones making the claim with zero proof. That's kind of how these things work.

He didn't play the best. The line blocked better those two games he started.

The line was atrocious Saturday.

I believe that they (offensive line) wanted Milroe as the quarterback...well they are fixing to get what they wished for.

I'm still excited for the game Saturday and we are going to win by 10 points or more.

I agree...if the line gels then it's a whole different ball game.

This - along with some well designed screen plays and quick slants would do wonders.
