TIFWIW, but a guy on BOL sez...
William Ming, Chris Bonds, Tana Patrick, Jonathan Atchinson are considering moving on to life outside of football. No final decisions have been made.
ETA: Out of that group, Patrick seems to be the least likely. Also, its pretty much generally accepted that ELY is gone after Spring Practice...

those are names rolling around in my head as well. the DL guys have seen zero PT from my best recollection based on the player participation charts on Rolltide.com

I know what I posted was a TIFWIW, but everyone is jumping in on Tana... Apparently, the staff is expecting him to be a major contributor (possibly starting in a couple of spots) this season, so its probably safe to expect him back, LOL!!!

The last couple years, we've found out about players moving on/taking medicals at CNS's press conference at the start of spring practice. Then, there are usually another 2 or 3 who transfer for more PT after spring training.

i see him in the 2 deep and plenty of PT on ST. I think of the ones you mentioned he would be the biggest surprise.

Personally, I'd be surprised if Tana got a lot of PT but I think the coaches will encourage him to return. Could be the primary back-up at 2 or 3 different positions depending on how guys like Ragland and Harris come along.

These are just a few of the guys that might not wanna hang around. Atchinson and Patrick have ONLY played in mop-up duty and they seem to be behind the younger guys. I've never seen Ming play although he probably has gotten a few snaps
Ely might leave if he can't beat out Sims this year, JMO

I agree with Sarc on Shinn...Everyone keeps saying he only played bc of injuries but who knows how those players that were injured will come back....May not be the same players as before.

Doesn't surprise me. I noticed in the LSU game he was down field on the Yeldon TD and as TJ was running he came back and attempted a block as TJ ran by. He din't get excited or run toward TJ to celebrate. He just kept walking away from the celebration with no emotion. He didn't seem happy.

Add kellen williams to the list, IMO.
Orr was greyshirt and maybe pretty close to his degree. Wilson Love is safe, IMO, hopefully our next Nick Gentry who was a great player, IMO.

Kellen Williams is not transferring. Im friends with his cousin and he is close to seeing the field.

LOL are you serious with this shite? Saban probably encourages them to run back to the sidelines after a score. He actually made a decent block on that play by making damn sure that he did not get a block in the back. I assure you he was happy.

Very serious.. I don't think the guy is a trouble maker or anything, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him transfer somewhere he can get more touches. I did find it strange that he was 15 yards from Yeldon in the back of the endzone and he doesn't even turn around and show emotion. Maybe that is just how he is, but he could also be upset he is not getting more touches. Both are plausible. I am sorry you felt the need to cuss at me over this. Also there is no way you can "assure" me he is happy.
