Saban normally makes the best calls on players but he blew this one. Ricks is lockdown.

i think he was in the dog house but also did not know the plays is what I heard. Some people are better game players then practice guys. Who knows but glad he is ready

I wish our beat writers would grow a pair of nuts and ask Nick about Ricks and Seth. If a bunch of idiots on a message board can see they are both obvious upgrades how is our coaching staff missing it?

100% agree. Sabans commitment to having to know the whole playbook has bit us in the arse many times over the years. It’s one of his few flaws.

No point in looking backwards now.

Sticking with Hurts over Tua was much worse.

Ricks is the best DB in the SEC. Those who know football know this. I never understood why didn't start. I think it was an issue of an injury and coaches not thinking he was bought in. Had Ricks played against Tennessee we win. He's that good.

Ricks replaced Arnold.

Hellams is still on the field and he's the one who was toasted the worst vs 10rc.

I'd like to see Arnold take Moore's spot and Moore take Hellams' spot against pass heavy teams like Tennessee.

Hellams has a role against teams like LSU, Georgia and Auburn.

We likely cut their score in half.

3-4 corners should be used against a team like Tennessee not 4 safeties. If we get one of those Tennessee drives stopped by Ricks we win.

In a game that close in which TN was torching our DBs, I agree. Horrible personnel decision by the staff.

Ricks looks like a first round pick vs. Arnold being a mid round pick at best

The truly unexplainable part is why didn't Ricks get a chance sometime late in the first half or after halftime once it was clear our DB's were getting torched ?

That to me is what is so unexplainable. If you're starter is getting rocked you get somebody warming up in the bullpen, duhhhhhhhh

Bro, that's because Ricks is a 1st round pick. No BS.

No at all. But, he's not the prospect that Eli Ricks is. Ricks is a Pat Surtain Jr. level prospect. And, he always was!

Had Ricks stayed at LSU he would be the best DB they've had since Patrick Peterson.
