I'm pretty angry about this now. These false accusations need to stop, but they won't until women are charged with crimes for it.

Reuben should have shown the cops the clip of him hitting Fournette...

Well, if there's video, let's see it. As it stands, it looks like he paid her to get him off the hook, whether that's true or not.

Why the frick are people downvoting this? I didn't say he paid her, I said it LOOKS like it due to how it has played out. Bring out the video to disprove the doubters. I haven't said much of anything about this situation. The day the story broke, I said IF the reports are true, lock his dumb arse up. That's all I've said. I hope they aren't true. But, I'm going to reserve judgement BOTH WAYS until all the facts are out.

There are ALWAYS two sides to these stories, and more often than not it's the WOMAN who is fabricating the story

Nope.

What it looks like is another man getting destroyed by another false accusation by a women using an over eager media who ignores facts if they don't follow their narrative.

So quick to make the woman a victim which needs saving.

So quick to make the man a monster which needs to be euthanized.

I've seen this too many times. If it isn't a money okay it's a leverage play.

I didnt downvote it, but paying someone off is much more likely to happen on some CBS drama. Reuben has other issues besides this incident - and I imagine he has a very good lawyer, so I doubt theyre paying someone when there is something this serious going on and he is looking at serious jail time.

I think the likely scenerio is the girl realized she likes the lifestyle she has with Reuben as her bf and admitted the truth. That or the defense had the video already.

You think he'd instead pay someone when it's no big deal? I'm not following.

Look, I hope he didn't do it. I'd rather him be a good guy, and have a great career. We'll see. But, the story is very convenient. And, most of the people here would be a lot less likely to blindly believe it if it were a former Auburn player. It may be true, but a healthy dose of critical thinking and skepticism never hurt anyone.

The school he played for has nothing to do with it.

I have seen ex-teammates, friends and mentors destroyed by lies like these. The shite is sickening and needs to be legislated to curb this type of behavior.

Sure, if it's a lie.

But, there's a good reason that abuse of women is now investigated and treated the way it is. It's because women were abused throughout history with often few repercussions for the man.

Wait until we know the truth without knee-jerk reactions as soon as you have a chance to think what you want to be true is actually true.

And that's all I'm going to say about it. The majority of people aren't capable of honest discussion.

Did you support waiting until you knew the full truth to condemn and convict Reuben?

I am strongly against abuse of women, children, power... any type of abuse of power.

However, I have seen the irreparable damage that has been done with some of these women lying for sinister and selfish purposes. Good men destroyed.

It isn't okay for women to be abused and it isn't okay for women to abuse their power of public perception to destroy anyone.

I'm saying I personally think people watch too many crime dramas and who gives a damn what those people think; theyre like the LSU fans that really do believe the SEC office in Birmingham is controlled by Bama fans.

Yep. Feel free to search through and try to find anything from me condemning him.

I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that women shouldn't falsely accuse anyone of crimes or abuse.

My point here is that as soon as some of you have something to latch onto that allows you to blame the woman rather than the former player of your favorite team, you do so.

I hope he's innocent, and if he is, the woman is prosecuted. However, the woman suddenly saying, "Oh, no I just made that up." leaves plenty of room for doubt. Maybe she did just make it up. But, also, maybe she didn't. Maybe she just decided it works out better for her to say she lied.

The assault weapon charge is going to be difficult to shake. It reads as if the misdemeanor for high capacity magazine was dropped, but the felony charge remains. I hope that he will learn from this, but I'm not sure. Part of it is want to and the other is surrounding yourself with good people. We will see!!

I have to agree with Teague on this one. I sincerely hope that Reuben didn't do it, but it would foolish not to remain skeptical.

I think it would be foolish to spend one ounce of intellectual energy forming a judgement one way or another about an issue has has absolutely nothing to do with you and about which you have no firsthand knowledge.

But convincing an American not to be nosy and judgmental is an exercise in futility.

The 2nd amendments should always over take state laws.. I thought they hated the south for fighting for States rights.. the double standards in this country has gotten comical, and the lack of knowledge and respect for the constitutional has gotten sad. Our founding father would have dumped all the tea by now, and ran out of gun powder.

And Free Foster

1. The woman didn't say there was a video her attorney did. The attorney is not gonna put his career on the line so the client can get a "payoff". She lied plain and simple.
2. The gun charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor and he'll do community service.

Report: Reuben Foster’s former girlfriend to testify she lied to police, Foster did not hit her (SEC Country)

Former Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster's accuser is prepared to admit she lied about him injuring her.
quote:

The latest turn in Reuben Foster’s domestic violence case now focuses on his accuser, former girlfriend Elissa Ennis, as she reportedly prepares to testify under oath that she lied to police about the incident and that Foster did not hit her.

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, Ennis will admit in a hearing on Thursday that the injuries she said came from an attack by Foster actually occurred in a fight with another woman.

Foster — a former Alabama standout now with the San Francisco 49ers — faces three felony charges, including one for domestic violence, for allegedly assaulting Ennis.

However, attorney Stephanie Rickard said Ennis will testify that the swollen lip and ruptured eardrum were not inflicted by Foster in a Feb. 11 incident. That day, she told police Foster hit her 10 times with a closed fist, dragged her down some stairs by her hair, and threw her out of his Los Gatos home three times.

The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office has obtained video of an altercation between Ennis and another woman, when it is now believed her injuries actually occurred, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Barrows also reported that Ennis has said, again through Rickard, that she made up the story about Foster hitting her because she wanted to “trash his career.”

Legal analyst Steven Clark told Barrows that it is unlikely the district attorney will pursue charges against Ennis for falsely accusing Foster.

Foster could be prosecuted for another felony possession of an assault weapon, but that could be reduced to a misdemeanor if the rest of the charges are dismissed when Ennis testifies that she lied to police about the incident.
