Nick Saban in the house for Oats' presser is decently newsworthy. I've covered plenty a Bama intro presser, including Avery's, and Nick hasn't been at any of them.

I keep hearing people worried about losing Shackelford, but where is he going to go?

His only other P5 offer was Kansas State. His next best offer is UNLV who also just changed coaches.

Kansas State has a good program.

If Kira can go play at Duke, I don't think anyone around here could fault him one bit. And if they do, they are crazy. It's Duke.

I have a lot in common with HS Coaches. We have a lot of good ones.... I never asked for a job built on a player.. I never asked or promised that. .. I refuse to do it that way

Must have been a question referencing Bucky.

Yes, but they already have two guards in their class, and it's not like that's close to home either.

I think Gary is the guy we should be seriously worried about losing.

i watched several videos of coach oats doing training. hes obviously way more comfortable on the court than behind the podium.

he seems like a humble go getter. looking forward to the future of bama bball. not expecting any miracles next year. just steady all-around improvement.

welcome aboard coach oats and family

I assume it's his recruiting guy whose name I can't remember.

He will keep Coach Pett. I would be surprised if he keeps Pelphrey, who might be eyeing his job.

Absolutely.

And to keep our expectations in check the AD really needs to fire someone else so we can spend time talking about their replacement rather than just focusing on how many games Oats is gonna win.

Bryan Hodgson. I hope so. I think he’d probably be in line for the UB job though.

"All of them" doesn't require a very long discussion or much focus. Just saying.

Nate Oats said Buffalo assistant Bryan Hodgson will be joining him at Alabama unless he gets the head coaching job in New York.
