The next time he speaks, it will be to announced a head coach.

So sounds like Pitino can be crossed off the candidate list?

I assume by "pending" that means Sampson/Forbes are still on the table?

I truly believe Trendons heart wants to come here....but his brain with Avery as coach told him no.

We will get him IMO if we get a good coach.

I'm not happy with that.

We are not a blueblood and the only way we can get the top dog coach is if he has some dirt which opens the door for us to be an option.

It's the only reason why Bruce Pearl is at Auburn.

I really feel we will just be going around in circles if we don't commit to taking a huge chance. For me it has to be Pitino.

He would bring a big change, we would be the talk of college basketball and he just like Pearl would know this is literally his last chance.

We don't need Petino for this to be a HR hire. I think this presser was Byrne's way of saying there's no chance of that happening.

Pitino is 67 years old, and is widely regarded as one of the slimiest coaches in basketball. If any other SEC team hired him, everyone on this board would bash them. There's a lot of coaches I'd rather have.
