It would be nice if the third team offense was allowed to run more plays than the ole dive up the middle. I'm sure Mac Jones would appreciate being able to actually throw a couple of passes.

The flags and refs were bad all night all around
The QB situation needs to be addressed. Hurts is not the guy but I will leave it at that
Agree on the mental errors by the D, but will say trying to tackle Pass is like trying to bring down Newton on the run. The kid is going to be good.
Their WRs could not back up their words and as I mentioned in the confidence thread Lamar made them and their OL look great last and we saw tonight like post Lamar for them.

The coaches should have spent this summer grooming Jalen for another position.
We don't have enough scholarship QBs in our QB room for this idea.
When was the last time we needed three? Did you even watch the spring game?

My complaint is that I now have to wait 6 days to see Tua play football again.

Officials were horrible. Very flag happy
That's because there were a lot of penalties to call.

About 14 years ago we had to start the #3 guy, but all it takes is one or two plays.

A lot of ticky tack calls. Many of ours were responding to things done to them by the chippy Louisville players and that has to get cleaned up.

Alabama will have to make ancient Mayan-day heart extraction sacrifices to ensure our kicker hits a 30-yard FG consistently.

Appeared to miscommunicate/forget about covering the flats at times.
OL looked iffy early but settled in later
Pass rush was not impressive early
Place kicker is a complete crap shoot per usual
Lack of discipline, don’t do dumb shite up big when you can just get off th field.

We are very fortunate at the RB position.
I think we'd get a lot more production if we only had Brian Robinson and Josh Jacobs.

Hopefully that stupid arse thread about Tua being on the sideline was the last straw.
My thread last night was mild mannered and probably misinterpreted by me but I didn't melt, cry, criticize or show my arse at all and you are up in here talking like I deserve a ban or something? What the frick dude? You don't have to be such an a-hole. I didn't do anything wrong last night or this morning.
I didn't post in the game thread and I didn't melt on the scoreboard either. I thought it looked like coaches were consoling Tua on the sideline when he was pulled so I started the thread. I may have been a dumb thread but you are acting like I blew shite up last night when I was well behaved. The thread was probably deleted because of classless responses and personal attacks and because I was told to kill myself.

JMO but this new punter is as average as average can be. He is a 38 yard punter at best.

Yep. The penalty on Miller for the push was extremely ticky tacky, he barely gave him a minor shove right after the play, even still, don't give the refs the opportunity to make such a flimsy call in the first place.

This was the worst one of the night. Not because it was called but it led to a TD when we would have forced them to punt and with the call keeping their offense on the field caused the scare of Wilson getting banged up.

If we’re going to continue to play Jalen in games, for Pete sakes, have a package for him that he is capable of executing.
They did....did you see him miss a wide open Najee for the TD? It was his primary receiver and tucked and ran too soon when he got a little pressure.

Kicker is my only really issue everything else can be fixed.
In practice the kickers looked good and I thought Bul was going to kick the field goals he made more in the scrimmage.

The running back depth chart is ALL screwed up. Our best back is 4th string, but it's just more of the same complaints with Saban not starting the best player for political or seniority reasons
I swear, I wish some of you people would shut up with this idiotic narrative. It's beyond asinine. What goes into being the "best" player at any given position takes more than just looking good when the ball is in their hands, or when it's game time.
One cautionary note: Najee Harris missed most of the last two weeks with an injury. I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss him. Damien is RB1, and the other three bring various skills and talents that make it difficult to determine a true pecking order.
My complaints for the game:
1) Penalties. Christian Harris committed a stupid penalty on third down that kept a drive alive for Louisville, and later in that drive both Mack and Quinnen got hurt.
2) Our O-line wasn't as good as I'd expected, especially in the first half. Hopefully with a game under their belt they'll gel a bit more.
3) Our D-line got no push in the pass rush in the first half.
4) Kicking was spotty, but again, could just be first-game jitters.
5) Pass coverage in the flats and across the middle was poor to nonexistent part of the time.
Of course, complaining after a 30+ point win against a P5 opponent is the height of hypocrisy ... but I'm still doing it.

that was the second OL which I assume he has practice with a lot.
