This loss is on Milroe for sucking arse and Deboer for not benching him.

But anybody trying to defend Jalen Milroe in the slightest can go frick themselves. There is no defending that dog shite QB play. He got worse as the season went on, and he sucked to begin with.

Going back to last year, how differently would we view #4 if fourth and 31 falls incomplete and we lose to Auburn ? The ramifications of that play were felt this year.

This particular sack bothered me yesterday. Yeah, get the ball out immediately, but there was no way he should have taken a sack.

You can't outrun a DB or fast LB running full speed while standing still... but the pursuer also would have overshot if faked... Bryce (and even Mac Jones) would have handled the pressure by running toward him, juke up into pocket, then escape behind him to their left.

Changes everything. Still glad it happened though. Saban going into eternity with a loss to Freeze & Auburn would make me question my faith.

No doubt. But it also entrenched #4 as the starter. It was a catch 22 situation. Glad the play happened but the ramifications were not good for future quarterback play. Milroe should have opted out of the bowl game and let Ty play. Instead, his already mediocre legacy is tarnished by the worst quarterback performance that I’ve seen since well, the Oklahoma game.

Milroe threatened to opt-out. He demanded $250K from UA to play in the bowl game. Thankfully we called his bluff and he knew his “brand” would take a hit if he sat on the sidelines.

Its pretty obvious the coaches on both staffs were scared to bench him for some reason. The transfer portal made it impossible for coaches to have any control over the team in hard times.

Does anybody know if breakfest club is still a thing or is it just transfer portal club now? Bc i figure instead of taking any discipline these guys just call their agents and leave town.

Are you kidding me ? frick that guy and his dumbass brand. I can’t wait to see a legitimate quarterback taking snaps next year.

Kareem has a point.

We just kept dropping him back. Even Boise State adjusted and started moving the pocket by rolling their QB out.

We just kept dropping the guy back as he kept throwing late ducks (if he kept his eyes up to read at all).

That has been my fear all year long. These coordinators don't know how to adjust and we don't have enough quality off-field staff with on-field experience to help them see the game better during the game (and with gameplanning).

This is what I dont understand. The we all know Jalen's weaknesses and the gameplan doubled down on them, as if it were some scrimmage to show the world that Jalen could do the things he struggled with all season.

The gameplan was trash

Yeah I definitely agree that the portal and players potentially leaving if he wasn’t the starter played a role. I just hope and pray that yesterday was his final game in an Alabama uniform.

I mean Milroe has gotta realize this and change it at the line. Brailsford too, but Washington never had this problem last year so…that narrows it down to Milroe

People were wondering why we were snapping the ball so early vs UGA in the 4th Q it’s because The coaches can’t talk to Milroe under 15 seconds

Hell on this play you have a numbers advantage. This is perfect time to audible to the QB draw, yet Bama insists on running the draw when the other team is stacked

Apparently there was literally nothing Jalen Milroe could’ve done to be benched. Absolutely nothing.

Even Saban pulled Hurts when the game was on the line. I am not saying Ty is Tua but at some point you've actually got to try and win the game. CKD never did that in any of our losses. Hmmmmm? Putting in Young and running the wildcat would make more sense than what we've seen.

I just don’t understand how anybody in our fanbase can make a judgement on DeBoer after this season

Because ultimately it’s his decision who takes snaps at quarterback. I know he had reasons for not benching Milroe at any point, but in doing so it was a detriment to the football team.

I’m an Alabama fan first and foremost. If the guy in charge is willfully sabotaging Alabama, I have an issue with it. If you hooked him up to a polygraph and asked, “did you ever think ‘we might have a better chance to win this game if I put Ty or Mack in” his answer would be yes. He never made a change, and I have an issue with that. I mean it’s football 101. Sometimes you pull a guy even if for a series to let him settle down and see what the defense is doing without live bullets. Never happened because our QB has a fragile ego and would’ve just made it all about himself. I don’t care about that and Deboer shouldn’t either. His job is simply to win.

You got sources sir/ma'am?

Because if this is true then this situation is beyond rotten.

The big problem with moving the pocket with Milroe is his footwork is terrible and he does not throw well on the move.

Hell, when he actually makes progression reads his 2nd or 3rd option throws are often iffy because he doesn't get himself reset to make the throw.

You can only laugh when people are still saying Milroe needed more RPO. Almost 30 starts into his career and he can't make the read on the most basic read option. He is simply incapable of doing these things.
