Alabama got exposed tonight. We're simply not good enough in the front court to be a real contender. Teams with size like Purdue are going to eat the boards like a buffet, limit us to one shot, and absolutely harass our guards whenever they go into the paint.

Feel like this is a 4-seed ceiling team.

Purdue was just better than us. 3 pointers kept us in it, but our shooting faded at the end. Have to build on it.

It’s just weird we keep losing to Purdue. They’re good but we beat better programs but can’t beat them.

So much room to improve.

Football wishes they could have this good a loss to kick off the campaign.

#2 in the country and a tied game up to the last minute before running out of steam.

Home the tournament gives us a rematch

I hate saying this, but it's one of the best losses I can remember. It's not like we got dominated for 38 minutes like we have in the past.
.

Not supposed to at home as a top 10 team. ESPN computer had us at like 61% to win

That Williamson dude destroyed momentum earlier in the second half. Was something like back to back fouls and a bad missed 3 all in a row. 'Bama never fully recovered after that.

Yep, bad matchup for us.
Too much Braden Smith.
Smart, sharp shooting, floor general.
That's 3 times in 3 yrs they've beaten us.

Yep, that may be the story of 2026

As goes Philon, so goes the Tide. I can see a lot of awesome games, but that kind of one man band reliance doesn't bode well to deep tournament runs.

The series where we were up 4 with the ball and Jemison missed two consecutive threes killed us.

Also can’t get out rebounded like that and expect to beat anyone decent.

Is there though? We aren't going to get bigger over the course of the season. We play well to our strengths, the problem is we have some pretty astounding weaknesses in the front court

Tonight? It’s this way most years with Nate’s teams, nothing new. Minus Houston, big physical teams are usually his teams kryptonite

We lost this on rebounds.
52 to 28 on the boards.
