PSA regarding this months-long Golding debacle

I am not creating this thread in order to discuss Golding. Absolutely not. I'm starting this thread so that we can get one thing clear, and I believe everyone should see it.
A large portion of the Golding haters, or those that place the lion's share of the blame on him, or those that go on and on about how the front-7 didn't develop enough, etc., that group has gotten continually upset at people who defend him or who spread blame around differently, and you guys are saying we're ruining the off-season discussion on this board.
The reality is that it's you guys who've ruined discussion on this board by reducing every argument to "Golding sucks". Sure, you word it differently, but that's your point - Golding sucks. We try to discuss injuries- nope, "Golding sucks". We try to discuss Xs and Os issues in specific instances - nope, "Golding sucks". We try to discuss recruiting misses and Jimmies and Joes - nope, "Golding sucks".
And the whole lot of us who are arguing against that crap are simply trying to have a broad discussion about things, but you guys keep coming back to "Golding sucks" and berating anyone who tries to have a more fully formed discussion of Bama's issues going forward.
It's your reductionist view of the topic that has ruined the topic, not the group arguing the myriad other sides.
Now of course, downvote the messenger. It's fine and I expect it. But the discourse on this website has declined in quality because too many people have reduced the discussion to one single uber-narrow-minded idea. Sure, the next several posts will be shots at me personally as a poster, and that's cool. I know it's coming and none of them will be original or interesting insults.
But shite guys, we should all be willing to fully discuss topics, we should allow posters to discuss them again should they not have gotten to do so the first time around, and we should not berate posters for fully developing an argument that brings more to the table than "Golding sucks".
NOTE: I'm sure someone or many will post "Golding sucks" as a reply to this thread. It wouldn't have been original or funny if you had done it before I called it, and it certainly won't be so now. Do it anyway, but it won't be clever.

We're done with this shite. Everyone's points have been made abundantly clear. Spring practice starts shortly and last season is done, Golding is the DC for 2020 and it really doesn't matter about last year anymore.
We'll have talented guys and depth. We're about to find the answer to the question. It's been tossed around by the same 8-10 people giving the same answers nonstop for 2-3 months. There is no new answer, no new point, no new nothing. It's the same stuff over and over.

I'm not missing any point. I'm intellectually capable of finding the point. Being lectured on how to interpret things the "right way" is getting tiring for everyone here.
So let's just move on. We don't need anymore rehashed Golding debates and we don't need a lecture on "what did we all learn" from the Golding debates.
It's very simple to discuss other issues regarding Bama in 2020 without the Golding thing coming up. And if it does from one person, JUST IGNORE IT. A lot of us having been doing that with this stupid nonsense for 2 months. It's not that difficult, it just takes self control.

I very much disagree, and that's why I made this post. Being lectured to regarding what's worth talking about is not something I will listen to, and if I feel similarly in the future, you can bet I will make another post and any more like it. And I say that in the context of liking you too, George.
This board has had a problem for a while now, and I believe getting things out like this and making sure everyone is encouraging discussion, even dissenting discussion, is good for the board.

And it's going to continue because ever day I log into this site and the same couple of people will just keep posting about Golding sucks.
While I don't visit many Alabama based social media platforms, this website is the ONLY website I visit that has this problem.
A big part of the reason is not just because the same few people have to post "Golding sucks" daily, but also because the majority of legitimate topics are forced into single threads. Go to a place like reddit, you don't see that kind of crap.
INB4 I get a ban threat again.

And from what I've gathered a lot of them really don't love spending that down time being told how the logical framework of their sports opinions is flawed and not as well refined as someone else's.

Start as many threads as you want - the only people who can move or anchor threads have done very little if any of that over the last 3 months, and certainly not specific threads about Alabama athletic topics.
That's really what we want here. More threads about more specific topics and I swear on my message board mod oath that if people start dragging it down that same broad path re: Golding I will smite that shite.

We're on the same page, George.
Refinement in not an issue, but clearing the air and making sure that everyone is encouraging discussion is a good thing around here right now. It's only the hardcore guys anyway at this time, and despite our differences, we are all like brothers who fight. We fight, sure, but let's remember that we are brothers and to be tolerant of others' ideas and points.
This is as discussion board, and if we are poopooing discussion, then why be here?
And I say that knowing full well that those words are directed at me as well. I needed to tone down the vitriol just like many others. I am not blameless- far from it.

I'd love nothing more than more threads about specific things. I'm a stat nerd, it's what I like the most.
