I find it much more tolerable from the players, since they're actually out there competing.

This is an exceptionally stupid thing for Tennessee players to say.
If by some fluke (or series of flukes) Tennessee actually wins the game, they've downplayed that achievement.
If (as expected) Tennessee gets blown out, they've admitted they lost to a team that isn't as good as people say.

Not at all, but I appreciate the false bravado in a rivalry game. I certainly don't mind our players feeling disrespected by their opponents beforehand. Afterwards is a different animal, but I appreciate them motivating us to bomb 50 on them in the first half. Saban can't buy this type of motivation.

So far Pruitt has had players off this team threaten to slap a girlfriend silly, threaten to shoot up the school and threaten to shoot cops.
