I don’t care how many they have out. The foot doesn’t need to come off the gas pedal until the refs blow the final whistle.

Agreed. But I'd be shocked if they didn't have at least one out after all the news coming out their program this week. Seems like at the very least one of their starting DL is out. If they don't have anyone out I'd be very skeptical that their final round of testing was on the up and up.

Togiai is a starting DT, I think; he's really good.

As Sauren said, Togiai is starting DT/NT, has taken the most snaps at the position for Ohio State and is really good. Tyreke Smith is a DE, generally only Jonathan Cooper takes more snaps at the position than him. The last guy is a back up running back. If true having Smith and Togiai out helps however the backups are 5 star recruits with plenty snaps and talent so you can't sleep. That Dline will still be very good.

Yeah, the only thing I think it will affect is their depth / substitution pattern. Their talent is still outstanding.

Well now the rumor is that togaia got a false positive

Watch this turn out to be a complete nothing-burger with OSU missing their backup longsnapper

Or OSU is saying screw it. Bring everyone positive or not. What can they do to us afterwards?

I posted it in the OSU/COVID thread on the SEC Rant, hoping to get a response from one of the roaming OSU fans, but I was told their kicker, Blake Haubeil, tested postitive and wouldn’t be available.

Ryan Day seemingly acknowledged they were having some issues with COVID, but also that they would be ready on Monday.

quote:

“You can feel sorry for yourself or you can continue to work on and push through,” Day said. “The hard thing is, at the end of the day, most people watch the game and the result is the result.

“For us, that’s why the story of the season is so amazing to me. We continue to push through despite difficult challenges along the way.

Dan Patrick was throwing around #’s like 20, but if I were guessing, based on speculation and comments from OSU and the media, I would think somewhere around 4-5 are actually unavailable.

OSU is at the limit in one position group for the game and has tried to postpone the game. CFP and Bama want to play the game as scheduled and as of yesterday, it could’ve been postponed but they are moving forward. The position group in trouble for OSU is Defensive Line and it’s mainly impacting backups but their depth will not be the same. One of their guys (assuming it’s Harrison) will be traveling to the game solo on Monday after taking precautionary post Covid tests.

The stadium looks great btw! RTR!

I’ve never liked the black endzones for us in CFP title games.
