ceiling, 10-2.

Alabama does not have a ceiling for next year. The damn 2024 Milroe/ CKD
experiment / huricane blew the the entire ceiling off. I hope the coaches and players swim well cause with the Alabama schedule it is going to be wet.

We need South Dakota State's QB Gronowski. He is in the Portal. DeBoer needs to send Sheridan packing. Then we might have a chance for a very good season.

I'd be ecstatic to see us go 10-2 and make the playoffs in 2025.

It is the same SEC schedule with the home and road games flipped. That means Georgia on the road. That means two noted road game house of horrors for many teams: Auburn and South Carolina. Finally, Mizzou rounds out the SEC road games. It is possible that every single road game is a ranked opponent. Reminder: we went 1-3 in SEC road games last year, and 2-4 overall away from Bryant-Denny Stadium.

There is a chance that we're a better team next year and have a worse record than we did this year.

I think Alabama will be in the 11-13 range in next season's initial poll.

That’s why I said missing the playoffs wouldn’t necessarily be a killer depending on HOW we miss. If we lose fair fights or if we fart around and go into games unprepared.

Hate to say it, but I don’t think we have a better record than we did this year. Probably wind up 1st or 2nd team out again.

Tough schedule is not valued by the committee.

I didn't even mention that we play @FSU and they'll have essentially a brand new team so we could be walking into a helluva fight or something like this year. Wisconsin comes here too. None of our home games will be easy either but the road game slate is clearly going to be very hard.

And there’s at least some chance of us walking into Doak Campbell with a true freshman quarterback.

And FSU is going to have Castellanos from Boston College who is one of those backyard ball short quarterbacks with good legs but primarily a passer.

I'm sorta betting on FSU being quite good next year and it is unfortunate that we're not going to get a week to get right before going to Doak Campbell

At the end of the day I think it’s going to depend on two things - OL & QB play. You can distribute responsibility for those things among the players, position coaches, coordinators, and head coach however you see fit.

If we get solid, CONSISTENT play along the OL and at QB we will make the playoff.

Seriously...without a proven qb, that schedule is going to be very difficult and it's the SEC. I'm going to expect the worst and hope for the best.
That said. I don't think this team will make the playoffs because the playoff committee want let a 3 loss team in regardless of strength of schedule.

Look at the team next year.

Offense is a mess.
OL was awful, they will have to make huge strides.
TE is losing two solid players
WR have been decimated outside the top two. Need to bring in portal depth.
RB haven't proven anything.
QB is a complete head scratcher.

Defense will be good
DB will be solid and a great unit
LB if Jefferson and Lawson come back this unit will be solid. Already got a great portal addition.
DL starters will be solid, but need serious portal depth

Special teams
Lost LS, lost punter, lost kicker?

KD shite the bed this year with a manageable schedule. Next year is looking tough. Alabama needs some serious portal additions at receiver, DL, RB, OL and a solid TE.

7-5

Bama would’ve been 11-1 at worst with a halfass decent pocket passer this year. Teams didn’t respect Milroe’s passing capabilities and started loading the box. It was evident Tuesday that his stance was making the offense predictable and he wasn’t seeing guys wide open 20 yards or more down the field.

We need faster OTs. Proctor has to get on Ozempic and we need someone on the right that isn’t a turnstile like Pritchett. WR group is shaping up to be solid with Williams, Bernard, Horton, Hale, Adams, and Scott. Cuevas is a solid TE and should be returning unless I missed something, but we need depth. Jam and Young are solid running backs. We just need a quicker OL to set up runs. Hopefully we line a QB up under center for a change on short yardage conversions. DL and LBs need depth. Secondary is probably the deepest group.
