I work on Gunter and we have one confirmed case, the one the governor mentioned this morning. The unit sent something out this afternoon saying those who he came in contact with have been notified and will self-quarantine for 14 days.

I think a few of these are part of the "Friday afternoon news dump".

I see what your doing, I think. You’re trying to make it the bottom pinned thread.

Word is there is a 7th case in Baldwin County, but I'll wait until the Health Department confirms.

Bay county Florida is claiming no cases so far, but they aren't looking too hard. As a drive in tourist destination, they see the entire local economy going up in smoke as soon as the first positive gets announced. Their solution? Don't test and claim no cases.

Numerous schools systems have now decided to close schools effective immediately, rather than waiting under after school Wednesday (which is when the state has ordered them closed). This includes (but is not limited to): Birmingham City Schools, Jefferson County Schools. Places like Tuscaloosa County Schools and Tuscaloosa City Schools were closed for these days already due to spring break.
