It's become obvious that you're ignorant and wrong about some things and so now...

Would yall mind taking your petty disagreements about this virus, etc. to another thread?

I like that this thread has Alabama information in it, for this is a good place to get it, but it's getting cluttered with your posts.

TIA

I'm done trying to reason with Mr. Roboto. And I'm sorry I participated in mucking up the thread.

I'll happily bow out and I have no problem with the mods removing all my posts in this thread to get it back on track as long as they also remove any posts encouraging people to buy junk science based supplements marketed as protection against viruses. That crap is bad enough on Facebook. We don't need it here.

There are millions of suckers, aka "sheeple". Many of them are overweight, unhealthy, poorly informed and close-minded to anything that conflicts with what they're being led to believe by their favorite mainstream media outlet(s). It's easy to spot them, both in public and online.

A confirmed case in Montgomery at the Hyundai plant. They have shut down production until Monday Morning.

Alabama's has been averaging increase of about 10 cases per day.
Certainly will continue to rise with additional testing

Just said on CBS This Morning , 20% of cases are people 20-44 years old and 12% of those required ICU level care . Not just pre existing conditions apparently . 38% were 20-54 years old. Numbers came from C.D.C.

City of Gulf Shores is closing all of its city beaches. This does not include beaches at condos and house communities, which are private.

I heard that Walton County BCC (Florida) is considering an emergency order to close the beaches in South Walton. It would take a super-majority vote (4 out of 5), and one commissioner has said he will vote no. Should know something this morning.

Talked to my doctor friend again last night. He said we need to brace ourselves for next week because the positive numbers are going to explode as they test people more and more. He said over 10,000 cases in the state by the end of next week wouldn't surprise him in the least, but he had no prediction on what the actual number will be. He said the biggest problem is the lag time in test results. It's currently taking 3-4 days for his office to get results back, but they're telling everyone they test to self-quarantine immediately.

He also said he's likely to start working close to round the clock, so likely no more updates from him.

Probably, but this may not be bad news. As has been discussed earlier, lots of people have been suffering flu like symptoms but were flu negative. It was probably this thing - so as odd as it sounds finding out a whole lot more people had it without a corresponding increase in hospitalizations and deaths will mean it isn’t as deadly as feared. It also MAY mean we are closer to peaking than thought.

Talked to my Dr friend, and he says that they are so dead that they are trying to stave off bankruptcy.

Did he tell you exactly why he wouldn't be surprised if we saw the cases jump from 68 to 10,000 in a week? Because that'd be VERY fricking surprising to most people.

Is this the same doctor who told you that the tests being done by Assurance Scientific Labs tests aren’t really coronavirus tests?

I am updating the number of cases each time a new total comes out. What am I not updating that you want to see?
