Stuff like this and “FOGs” is like a gay coping mechanism when things don’t go our way and someone criticizes the basketball team. The shite honestly gets on my nerves more than people the people that don’t know what they are even watching.

Our inability to stop anyone in the post is almost as concerning to me as how bad Sears has been. I thought most all of our post issues would be fixed with Cliff but he hasn’t been good in our scheme, at least not yet. Drop coverage looks so easy for opposing guards against us right now with any sort of midrange talent.

You can’t point out Sears and Oat’s shortcomings without being labeled a FOG.

The guy hasn’t been the defensive force that was promised I think everyone should be able to see that

Oregon has a great record in Las Vegas, evidently they play there a lot. They also have 9 seniors on their squad. It showed today.

The turnovers tell it all. Alabama wins this game easily without 17 freaking turnovers. That shite is infuriating.

Im so disappointed. 4 seconds and Colin Sexton has to float it from the free throw line on a full court run.

He expected to get the foul call. I'd rather attempted a three to win than relying on refs. I think they all suck but I'm biased.

We have to be serious and ask ourselves does Sears give us the best chance to win at point guard and I say no. He has no plan when driving to the hoop.

You can if you give them praise when they deserve it as well, and when you’ve been attending Bama basketball games for over 2 decades.

3point shooting has taken a huge hit.
This was the part that was going to set us apart from folks coming into the season. We brought back Sears (44%) and Wrightsell (45%), and added Youngblood (42%) and Holloway (30% but by all accounts a great shooter). With expected jumps from Nelson and Stevenson we should be one of the best 3-point shooting teams in America. Instead, Sears has taken 10 steps backwards in every facet of his game, Wrightsell is done after shooting 40%, Youngblood has been hurt, and Holloway is only at 36%. As a team we’re shooting 33% from 3 - the second-worst mark of the Oats era at Bama.

Pair that with absurdly bad ball security and average defense, and we have the makings of a middle of the pack SEC team. 5-6 seed.

We had a lot of good looks tonight, they just weren’t falling.

I’m starting to hate this drop coverage defense. The only time it looks decent is when Nelson plays the 5.

We are too long/athletic/quick to be giving guards the lane. It ends up being a bucket, a foul, or an easy weakside putback.

So you think Bama has a coaching problem like the guy I was responding to? Nate Oats is the best coach we've ever had.

Traditionally, Bama fans treat basketball like it's football & one or two losses dooms your season. It's November. Oats scheduled these games so he could diagnose our weaknesses & fix them before conference play. A loss to an undefeated Oregon team is a learning lesson. Not an indictment on the team or coaching stafff.

I agree. I’m the same way. The big fan of both of them but I lay this loss at their feet.

Yep, in no universe should Sears have even expected to get all the way to the hoop with 4.5 seconds left. He’s not that fast. When he passed it, he should never be allowed to handle the last shot ever again. I’ve watched him drive the lane with 2 seconds on the shot or game clock 3 times just this year. He doesn’t have the instincts to handle end of clock situations

No I don’t think we have a coaching issue. I do feel like we were outcoached tonight. It’s one game and it’s not an indictment on the season but Sears is becoming a liability and it’s nothing wrong with pointing that out.

The only thing wrong with it is it gives them the excuse to use the played out childish football talk. I think some of them wait for the criticism so they can use it. To double down and try to act like we don’t want the best coach we’ve ever had Is Asinine

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT... It's driving me insane watching a 7 footer back pedal all the way under the basket. What's the point in having him, plant the tree in the lane and let's get arms extended straight up . It's insane watching 6'1 guards driving to the hoop as we backpedal and then jump off a backfoot and clumsily foul them. Im extremely disappointed in Cliff's defense so far, but part of it is this style we are playing.

Sears is a clothing brand and ability to not shoot threes away from being a basketball version of Milroe.
