Well you said yourself that Saban left because he had lost control of such things, and Kirby probably goes to bed every night praying that the cops don’t call him about some player showing his arse and fricking up somewhere.
The world has changed in college football, the players are pretty much equal partners to the coaches now and the culture is probably never again going to be totally to our fan base’s liking and standards because none of the changes have been made with any consideration whatsoever of what the fans want.

There is way more issue than just the QB, but he is obviously the most important player on the team and has been playing very poorly.
However, it's a bit extreme to say DeBoer's tenure rides on making a change at QB.
If he decides to do that I think it would come after the bye week

If Deboer had gone full culture change and ran off the problem players, youd have still been bitching. If he runs off the problem players now, youll still bitch.
Moral of the story: if you are the HC at Bama, dont listen to the loudmouth fans

Wait for another loss before the change, that makes sense.

Offensive players 100% lost the game last night.
Agree. Defense did better even though UT had several missed opportunities as well. Receivers still getting behind DB’s

This. The number of open receivers was incredible.

Dude, Alabama undeniably has a loaded roster
We have some good players, but they are obviously not a team.
I don't know why everyone thought we were some ubeatable roster. We lost....
Top 2 RBs
Top 3 WRs
2 first round CB's
The best safety in the country
Our LT & C didn't(or barely) participated in the spring
Couple that with a brand new coaching staff with a different philosophy.
This is how transition seasons usually go.

I'm leaning in that direction but washington was bad at penalties as well.

The moment he realized his culture was being challenged by the LANK culture within the program he immediately did the honorable thing and retired.
The honorable thing would've been to clean it the frick up. BAMA made him a zillionaire. He bolted at the first sign of real cracks in his Process.
I will never hate Saban, but he left the program in a real mess.

Saban left him a mess.
Saban only left him one of the lardasses that walked into Neyland smoking a cigar. DeBoer brought the other one with him from Washington.

OK, tell me how you be hard assed under the current rules
You start by being a hard arse to your staff and telling those two lardass fricktards to throw away the cigars and take their fat asses back to the hotel.

Josh Chapman was a Saban player first hired by Saban

Saban folded and left.
He earned that right, but this is pretty much what happened
Starting in '22 Bama was different we had 19...20 penalty games. Constantlyb shooting ourselves in the foot. Bad decision making. We even commented on how grandpa Saban had mellowed. And chalked it up to ... That's how you have to coach kids these days. Still recruited and still prepared but Bama was in fights with teams that had no business being in the game ( ark last yr) just a group that has lost the standard and confidence that comes from the standard. Still won games ..UGA /SEC but so inconsistent

How can you say that ? He left him the defending SEC Champs, and a top 3 loaded roster in all of football
I have a feeling that DeBoer has never had to deal with a group of entitled players with the mentality of some of these guys, and now you have a coach not from the South who could be dealing with a group of players who want a certain QB starting, if the rumors are true.
It could be a very delicate situation for him.

Totally on board with you. Inexcusable.
