re: Only thing I'm disappointed about this game is the defense in the fourth.

Would help if the fricking offense could have extended a few series and converted on a few more 3rd downs

I mean, yeah, that would have helped, but our offense ran way more plays than theirs.

All things considered, I was more impressed with Jackson than Kool-Aid. Jackson had the pass interference and it was a smart play, the touchdown on him was a great play. Sometimes it happens, the little nudge by Mitchell caused the little separation he needed.

Kool-Aid seems to panic when the ball is in the air, I think he will be fine. He’s only a freshman. Having Ricks, Jackson, and Kool-Aid next year, I think we will be absolutely fine.

Talked to a coach at EMCC a few weeks ago and although he didn’t get to play bc of a transcript issue but practiced , he raved about Jackson as an athlete and headhunter

He is a severe liability tackling wise. Multiple times last night he avoided contact that allowed a runner extra yards.

The defense was the only reason this game was competitive in the 4th. UGA dialed up the intensity across the board the last half quarter and BAMA couldn't match it this time.

Thought Jackson played well overall. He got deked on the stop and go but had the presence to tackle the guy for a PI instead of a TD. And on the long pass, he had very tight coverage, it was just a perfect pass and a nice catch; he did his damndest to knock the ball out but UGA’s receiver held on…

I thought the game turned on the drive where we got the FG blocked. Drove the ball for 7 minutes (something like 17 plays, 60+ yards), had a dropped pass inside the 5, and then the blocked kick. Next drive, Cook broke the long run and UGA took the lead and the momentum…

I'm not really that disappointed. It'd be one thing if we just quit but we didn't. UGA just decided to start dominating. They were physically the more talented team and it showed in the 4th.

I mean we didn't break until really about 5 minutes left in the 4th

Golding.

Dumb comment. Golding called a damn good game and had Bama in a perfect spot to win. DL played their balls off but not sustaining drives and not having enough depth to truly rotate kills us up front. Jackson and Kool Aid played as well as they could.. next year they will be really damn good. Kool Aid needs to put some weight on this off season.

Well 7 of those points were technically the offense so maybe, just maybe, the other team was also very good and did just enough to put themselves in a position to win more than we did

It is disappointing the defense gave up two scores at the end after playing such a masterful game. At the end of the day, the defense kept us in the game and they’re the only reason we had a chance. Offense pooped the bed with dropped balls and having no real playmakers ready to go once Jamo went down. I was hoping we would maybe see Bryce start to run some to stress their defense after Jamo went out. Nope, BOB doesn’t have a creative bone in his body.
