Wonder if Chambliss/Ole Miss sue NCAA?

I don't think he should have gotten another year. I think 5 years is enough, personally. But I can't understand how they come to these decisions. There is zero consistency.

If Simmons hasn't committed maybe he will come out of the portal and stay there? I'd imagine they'd rather have him.

Idk about the rest of you, but I think at this point, if we got Coleman, an elite LT, one more guard/center, one more DT, we are in a good spot. I don’t see a big reason to spend at all on new secondary, TE’s, or pass rushers anymore to this point. I could see the appeal for 1 more ILB, but I think between Reese, Metz, jones, Johnson, and Sanders; 2 of those guys can play next to Woodson at a solid level.

Justice Haynes is in the portal. Led the Big 10 in rushing before getting injured.

I agree with you 100%. I don't know, however, if there are any elite LTs available. But addressing the positions you have laid out would be good to me. Some have said another inside linebacker, and that might be valid. Although I like QB Reese and I'm sure they'll want to get Xavier Griffin on the field early too.

What they were talking about is the CSC(college sports commission) which is supposed to enforce programs adhering to the new clearinghouse system for third party deals has not been signed by all schools including Texas Tech. The clearinghouse is still in place and none of it has anything to do with what a school can directly pay athletes.

Ok appreciate the clarification.

TE and secondary I agree, unless there's a plug and play starter that wants bama.

I think we need another pass rusher.

We've got Pierre as the only proven guy there. I think we expect Hill to make a leap...but it's pretty dire behind him for 2026. By dire I mean there's nobody, I don't expect any of the true freshmen to be plug and play edge rushers. We need more playable depth than Pierre and Hill. That doesn't hold up for 13 weeks

It would nice I’m not holding out hope for Coleman. I feel like the chance we end up with him is super slim

Nothing personal against the QB but it is time to stop these 10-year careers in college football.

5 to play 4.

Agree wholeheartedly. 5 yrs is plenty. If you’re injured and require multiple medical redshirts your body is just not cut out for D1 football.

It's fricking stupid, but it's not going away. CFB has positioned itself as a highly lucrative minor league, and a ton of these guys who are great college players but have little shot at making it in the NFL are basically losing out on 5-8 years of 7 figure earning potential because of inconvenient things like "eligibility" and "pursuing a degree".

This is an underrated really good pickup.

Our S/T was FEI 73rd. This is a great start on getting back to not having a major liability with that group.

I think you’re right if it’s a cheaper group of 5 veteran or someone like that. I like the idea of Pierre getting 60/40% of wolf snaps in base with hill and then getting the other 20% as an obvious pass rusher package player.

I’d also like to see griffin and Matthews get the 3rd guy reps that Hill and Carter were getting this year when Russaw was out. If you get a proven g5 guy, you could get some steady play, afford it and push money to another DT, and give the younger guys more PT. Plus could be a great special teams player.

Hopefully Latham gets a waiver to come back for another year, but he's coming off a major neck injury, so who knows if it'd be ready to go by Sept.

Singleton should be a target for us because we need at least one more H/slot type.

At least we have two players at the each of the outside receiver spots. It's Brooks and ??? at slot assuming they move Williams back to Z.

He's already predicted to sign with UF.
