NFL can add players in the middle of the season if that happens, we can't. Riley contributed when others were hurt, he was basically the second back for a time.

Basically just bought him from us.

Maybe the writing on the wall Saban saw was how limited we are financially.. he loves the university and couldn't leave to go elsewhere because he's already up there in age and he probably also knew from communications with Bryne how limited we were financially and this new future of CFB is basically how much can your billionaire(s) spend.

When Greg was begging for donations; just wow. People thought he was the enemy but he knew exactly what he was saying and where things were going.

Baylor just added a center mid-season.

You can basically do what you want if you have the money

Wouldn’t it be cool if these billionaires did some good with their money instead of have pedo island vacations and ruin college football?

I don’t know if he’s eligible to play right now but Indiana has someone who was with Miami until Jan. 2.

Have we gotten a solid transfer yet? We have so many issues I don't know how much improvement this team will have, but it would be nice to have something to feel good about in the off season.

There are a number of players who get a scholarship only. It’s much better than walkons once got. It’s a free education. It will probably be more than the bottom 20. If they surprise and develop into rotational players they might get a little rev share, starters, even a little more.

Remember in the past when a walkon would be granted a scholarship to an Alabama or an Auburn, there would be a recorded ceremony where the HC would notify the player in front of the entire team and the wild celebration would be shown to news outlets throughout the state? It was a big deal. Well now they essentially get that up front.

We got a starter quality DL from SoCal and starter quality LB from VT. I don’t think either are superstars but they cover Jefferson and Overton departures.

I can see this being the case. Makes sense why Saban, amongst others, is pushing for more structure like the NFL.

The whole thing has gotten out of hand and is turning into MLB with no cap and the rich buying everyone.

Both guys were considered studs on their respective teams and the LB looks like he can fly. He’s a converted safety. Solid pickups overshadowed by the Texas shite

Damn was hoping Keeley would reconsider and come back. He was finally starting to look like a ball player for us last year.

Wish we could have retained him, James Smith and Noah Carter if it was financially feasible/prudent. Couldn’t care less about anyone else that’s leaving.

You’re foolish if you think people give a frick about that 20.5m number. Go look at what the Texas schools are doing.

I'm not foolish. The Collegiate Sports Commission is investigating this very thing this week,
