When Ferguson went down, the OL played better. Am I wrong or did I missed something?

Did we start the 2nd half with Proctor, Booker, Seth, Dalcourt, and Latham? It was tough to follow all the OL coming in and out near the end of the 2nd Q.

That's what I'm trying to figure out because something clicked.

It was a combination of momentum and Ole Miss defense getting worn down I think. Plus they have Golding.

I’m not sure, but they grew a pair for this game. We played tougher at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

Aah, forgot about Golding. We may not have done anything as far as OL adjustments at the half. It could have just been Golding’s adjustments that
made our OL look better.

Yeah, hopefully whatever changes they made will carry over

Didn't pay enough attention to notice personnel changes but I'll take it...

I actually think we played the same. The yardage was mostly gained by rb effort and the ole miss d being tired. Go back and watch the second half.

Hope they use this win to gel though.

Just some observations… Pritchett played well at LT when he came in during 2Q. Ferguson has his ups and downs, but at least he’s looking to hit someone. McLaughlin is a huge liability. From errant snaps to constantly whiffing on blocks and/or getting blown up. I can’t even count the number of times I saw him dancing with defenders rather than blocking them. As far as protection goes, I think a lot of our OL woes stem from him. Go watch milroe’s TD pass to Jalen Hale, and pay attention to McLaughlin. He was laughably bad on that play.

We HAVE TO get significantly better play from the Center position if we have national title hopes, whether it be from #56 or someone else.

Lol trust me, I have my doubts (serious doubts), but I’m trying to stay optimistic for now. But you can replace “national title hopes” with SECw hopes - still need to get better play than what McLaughlin has given us this year.

For as long as I can remember, it seems like there is a weak link in every Alabama offensive line. This year, it's McLaughlin and Dalcourt. They get beat often, every game.

McLaughlin is so bad, I'd be interested in seeing what James Brockermeyer could do.

I wonder if we wouldn’t do better to put Dalcourt or Booker at center and then plug Ferguson in at guard.

Dalcourt got whipped a bunch last year at center.

That’s true, but if he can be at least at McLaughlin’s level in without the snap issues, maybe it would be worth it. I don’t know, just a thought. I’m not sure we have a good option at center.

Some have suggested trying Booker at C.
