This team looks so much different than the one against Northwestern, and with only 7 games it's hard to say "well that was an outlier".

They clearly have dudes everywhere, so if they play up to capabilities it's gonna be tough sledding.

Between that and the Indiana game, all I can assume is that they're playing to their competition. A pretty easy hole to get snagged in. Luckily, they are mad as hell from their last Clemson game, and played like it was personal.

There's definitely a lot of talent in that team. At this point, all you can hope is that the competition during the season will help them to be ready, if things aren't smooth out of the gate.

We've lost a couple elite players so far. But haven't had an entire decimated by injuries. After the last couple seasons, I'll it

Why is OSU’s defense so much better than ours? Their pass rush is legit

This won’t be popular here but aside from having good coaching , they have better players.

I disagree. This was Clemson’s 3rd game since November 29th. They were well rested

Hopefully we'll get Malachi Moore back. His presence was missed today.

Not gonna lie...I didn't realize he wasn't in the game until after it was over. Notre Dame never once threatened us. You knew the game was over when we went up 21-7.

The only hope they ever had of making the game competitive was getting a couple of short fields. Their offense just has zero big play threat, which is par for the course for ND and a big reason why they have no business playing in NY6 and playoff games. If you can't threaten a defense with big plays, you can't win against elite competition without getting a lot of lucky bounces to go your way. Not with the way the game is currently played.

Clemson wasn’t on the schedule until late December.

the tosu v klempsum game reminded me of bama v fla 09. bama had been working on fla on and off all year. during the game, bama had answers for everything fla done. tosu had answers for everything klempsum done and were very confident in doing it.

will it be the same against bama? we will see

You have to think one day Bama will turn the corner and be at least a decent team

Agreed. Bama did come out flat in the NCG against Texas after that damn near perfect game against Florida.

A backup QB lead Texas back from down 24-6 after Colt left the game to 24-21. Luckily, Bama got to late turnovers to seal the win.

If Ohio St comes out flat against Bama, Bama will run them off the field.

I wonder if having a few weeks between games compared to 10 days for osu is better or worse after an emotional game.

Bama is averaging more sacks per game and significantly more QB hurries per game

I like that the Buckeyes are fresh off a big emotional win, as Clemson was their playoff kryptonite.
Also, though they won with relative ease, they got banged up, much like our Oklahoma win a couple years ago.

I feel the same way. I could not reconcile the team that played Saturday being the same team that played NW.
