They need him? Are they going to line him up at center or what?

They need him on account of their head coach being bad.

Watched a little of Mack's tape. Dude can sling it all over the field and can make all the throws. Didn't see much of his ability to run but I gotta imagine he's a long-strider like Trevor Lawrence or Matt Jones (throwback Saturday haha).

Edit: Also, his throwing motion is pretty compact for a guy who could play forward for Nate Oats. When he makes decisions, the ball gets out quick. No giddy-up-and-go wind-up on his motion.

Won't endear him to the rest of the QB room but the kids has some big brass ones.

That is McCorkle/JPW level of confidence. I like it!

Not a good look but he also doesn’t specify when he was doing bad and when they hit him up…

Isn’t that against NCAA contact rules?

Mack already spent a year learning this offense and has more natural throwing ability than Milroe. His arm is as strong as Milroe's on the deep ball but he's got a quicker release and was doing full-field progression reads consistently as a Junior in HS. Mack is very comfortable throwing into windows in the middle of the field on timing routes like slants. Yeah it was HS ball, but he was playing high end California HS ball.

In my opinion, Mack is the real deal. Milroe better put in the work or he's at risk of losing this job in Fall practice. Mack is probably QB2 at worst right now. He knows the offense and frankly he's just more physically gifted than Simpson.

It’s against rules but no ones going to do anything. Plus I wouldn’t be surprised if Bama didn’t do the same thing. Let him be their revolving door.

We’ll see about that. I think you are underestimating Ty.

It’s odd to me why people just casually overlook Ty when discussing the quarterback situation. He’s a talented player.

I hope I am, we're all winners if there are more good QBs for Grubb and DeBoer to pick from...

Edit: I believed Ty would put a fight up this Spring with the prior staff. I just think it is kinda obvious why Mack was asked to transfer here and I don't think it was to be QB3. And to be sure, what I've seen is impressive...

I think it’s safe to assume Ty or Jalen is going to transfer after spring and maybe Longerin
