I feel bad for WillyT. He probably spent the entire game working on gifs to post about Bama losing to Sark and it didn't happen. Too bad, so sad.

15 penalties has to be a record for Coach Saban at Alabama, geez. Hopefully the ugly game of the year is outta their system … and there’s no such thing as an ugly win :) RTR!

Golding wasn’t the problem today, though the defense was underwhelming at times.

Bryce got us there and Reichard made the big time kick and our FG unit did an outstanding job!

Yeah Def kept them low, offensive side took 4 quarters to realize brooks, Gibbs and empty set was the winning formation.

Yeah defense looked pretty good besides some blown coverages. Might have looked different with Ewers in, but that doesn't matter.
This game reminded me so much of the Iron Bowl last year. I think that we have the tools to be a great offense, but we gotta figure a bunch of things out.

Bill O’Brien’s offensive scheme leaves a lot to be desired.
No misdirection, zero throws out the back door, took 3 1/2 quarters to explode a defense playing 2 high that ran the FS down hill on any run action.
But other than that.. thank God for Bryce Young!
The Defense played solid considering the offense was none existent for over 3 quarters and Sark is a tremendous play caller

I know I’m old and many aspects of the game have passed me by, but there are some universal truths to winning football.
1. Tackle well
2. Don’t commit stupid penalties
3. Don’t pass when you need to burn clock
4. Don’t play prevent defense too early.
5. Don’t run from shotgun when you need 1 yard
6. Don’t pitch the ball inside the 10 yard line
7. Don’t give a team time to beat you if you can prevent it
8. Make sure your special teams are not a liability.
We failed on a lot of these today.
