I disagree. Eventually those wide open outside shots will fall, unless we're playing AU. And while they are not falling they can just get 2-3 shots at making it, most trips.

Last three games Bama has given up 20 offensive rebounds a game. All of them while in zone, unless I missed something

I understand that we gave up a lot of offensive rebounds and that they eventually hit some shots, but they shot 32% from the floor and 17% from deep. The one time they scored consistently was when they got out and ran before the zone was set up. I believe we held UK to their lowest point total of the season despite the offensive rebounds. I agree that we need to run more man, but yesterday wasn't one of them.

Kevin ScAUrbinksy said on the radio this morning that Alabama shouldn't get rid of Anthony Grant.

If for no other reason to fire Grant, it's this.

Don't know how reliable this guy is but...

Cary Clark ?@ccbama 10h
Hearing Anthony Grant has the support of Paul Bryant Jr. Effectively ends chances of change for minimum 12 months. #Ireportyoudecide

Cary Clark ?@ccbama 9h
Also hearing Rick Stansbury heading to Auburn shortly after SEC Tourney

Grant has also been confirmed to attend 2 of the Crimson Caravans later this Spring - don't think they'd have asked him to tag along with Nick if they planned on giving him the boot

Oh man, Rick Stansbury at Auburn would be hilarious. As for Grant, I've tried to tell yall all along he isn't going anywhere this year.

I never thought he was going anywhere. But that doesn't make me want him gone any less. How can anyone look at our hoops program right now and think, man, we need another year of this?

Every year we hear: He just needs another year. He'll get it together next year. Just wait until he gets these recruits in.

I'm over it.

They do, but the urgency and pertinence is not the same when team is tanking.

IMO, since it is much harder to find supporter's to buy out a basketball contract, the university should be prudent with contracts and pay. If Grant wasn't making shy of 3 million, we could fire him. And since enthusiasm lags a couple of years behind success with merchandise and tickets, throwing away 5 million or whatever will not be recouped like in football. So we are stuck, which is the norm with most programs,
