The worst part about it is we're talented. We shot lights out from 3 tonight and should've won. We're just so poorly coached offensively that we can't win against a quality opponent. It's awful.

I just..... I just don't get it. Will it ever happen?

I mean, yeah we're a football school but that hasn't stopped Ohio State or Florida from having A+ teams.

It can't be Tuscaloosa, we have coaches bringing in world class talent to our Football team, gymnastics team, softball teams and golf. This is a place to build championship programs.

It can't be money..... we're loaded and aside from Coleman being an aging arena, we've spent loads to make it as good a facility as it can possibly be without burning it down.

It can't be the fans, our non-revenue winners are regularly top 10 in the nation if not top 3 or #1 in attendance.

If you told be in 2009 that Anthony Grant would still have us losing close games and giving up laughers to Tulane, Dayton, Drexel and South Florida..... what a waste of five years. What a waste of every talented kid committing being a bust or wasting away here.

I'm...... I'm just tired.

Yeah it was a great game to watch. Aside from rebounding, we played well after the first 5 minutes.

I'm really torn on "fire grant"

On one hand, he is a bad coach. On the other hand, the 3 guys coming in are what this program needs in the worst way possible: Pure, authentic, bright, classic, clear, complete, fair, flawless, kosher*, limpid, lucid, natural, neat, out-and-out, pellucid, perfect, plain, plenary, pure and simple, real, simple, straight, total, transparent, true, twenty-four carat, unadulterated, unalloyed, unclouded, undiluted, unmingled
shooters.

Shout out to Roget

If we can get a better coach and keep this class then I'm all for it. If upgrading from a C to a C+ in the coaching department is going to cost us this class then I'm against it.

You can't worry about a couple of recruits. I'm not saying that you're wrong in the sense of that's what we need, but if you keep a coach just because of a couple of high schoolers, you'll be having the same conversation about the coach in a couple years.

Yeah I'm to the point where we need a new coach regardless of this class. If they decide to go elsewhere, so be it. But this program has gotten no better with Grant at the helm and he's killed what little interest there was in our program.

Who would we hire? Let's assume Pearl is not an option. Who would come?

The first thing I would do is offer Gregg Marshall 2 million and year and see what he says. If no, then you obviously have to drop another level and find a coach from a lower tier school. I obviously haven't researched many names so I can't just throw shite out there right now. I just know Grant isn't getting the job done so it wouldn't hurt to move in another direction.

I know they were in the final 4 last year...but it took him 5 years at WSU to even make a tournament, and he's gotten them there twice since 2008. I feel like if we were going to can Grant we would need to make a bigger upgrade than that.

His teams not as talented as Bama ...yet just beat us and is ranked #11 .Hed definitely be an upgrade .Did you not notice how well coached they were ? Not very talented yet they win games because they do the little things.Box out ,played the pick n roll defense very well .

I dont think theyll be ranked high for long because they arent very talented but he can coach.

Throw a HUUUUGE contract at Jerod Haase

The job he is doing at UAB is just unbelievably phenomenal both recruiting wise (after no connections in this area coming from NC) and coaching and having his 1st yr team a 2OT miracle shot away from being ranked and a victory over a top 20 UNC team that was leaps and bounds more talented

Has Grant beaten a team leaps and bounds talent wise at Bama?

Are you sure about that? I think the term you're looking for is athletic. The guy that killed us tonight would be our best player.

And I conceded that he'd be an upgrade, but I think a hamburger is an upgrade over a hotdog, that doesn't make it a steak. I just don't think he specifically would be worth losing the class coming in.

I watched about 2 minutes and then went back to my regular shows I like on CBS. AG has killed my will to support any team he coaches.

It's amazing how we can keep up with the best teams in the nation, and then vomit all over ourselves when it really matters.

And then lose to shite teams.

He is an absolutely amazing coach man, reminds me already of Pearl or a little bit of Few in him, he already beat Bama, Miss St and a couple other SEC Bball schools & Wichita St in recruiting for an ESPN top 100 (#65) player and the top in the state with William Lee and he's signed 2 other pretty good in-state players for the 2014 class.

Then he goes out and beats UNC and I don't mean it was close, UAB DRILLED them with the 3 and didn't let up

They play LSU in BR on the 21st Im willing to bet he will beat the Tigers as well
