He's a Houston-area kid, right? IJS. This Maurice Smith situation may have played into his decision-making process.

Perhaps it might have. And that's fine if it did. Best to know early who hasn't the fortitude to battle adversity. Best of luck to him and hope that spot is taken by someone who wants to be the best and beat the best to have it.

Parker McLeod has joined UGA as a walk on. What kind of dirt does he have on Kirby?

Don't know why the Smith situation would affect him. The only thing affecting Sheiffield is being passed by freshman.

Still can't believe McLeod got a spot in the 13 class when Von Bell didn't.

Rumor is that Sheffield is having a family emergency. Apparently is not football related. Not totally sure. I think the only people who know are the sheffields and Saban. Even current players on the team don't know why.

IF that's the case. Then I'm an a-hole and hope things work out for the best for him.

You mentioned some attitude problems a couple of days ago. Hope it all works out. If not, next man up.

Von Bell wasnt a part of the Clan McLeod. There can be only 1.

I haven't heard one way or the other but yes he was having alittle attitude issue.

I haven't heard of a family issue or if he officially quit. But that he is not at Bama currently.

Boz, Does it look like Deionte Thompson will contribute any this year?
He seems to be buried in the depth chart but maybe he gets in there at some point.

Do you know how far back in the depth chart? I thought I read something not too long ago that he was the backup free safety, but I might have misread that...

He wasn't on 1st or 2nd team reps today or at scrimmage. The safeties on 2nd team was Hootie and Diggs.

Tony Brown worked at CB in the evening practice and Keaton Anderson worked at Safety in both practices today according to Marq Burnett

I'm not happy with either of these things
