It's a shame he chose to not start Phillip Sims, who was clearly more talented and physically gifted than AJ McCarron. Think how many championships we could have won with him behind center?

Sims threw downhill like a pitcher. Like Jackson and Kitchens. Wish he had gotten a shot somewhere, he had skills.

It's a shame that Saban doesn't know what he's doing, because otherwise he would be a decent coach for us.

But think how good he'd be if he paid attention to this board.
Oh believe me I do, this board beats most of the other sports sites hands down

If he'd just started Nick Fanuzzi in '07, the Dynasty would have started much sooner and I could have sold his jersey I'm ashamed to have.

I'm really surprised Ben Davis didn't make the depth chart. Anybody know what's up with that?

All this talk about QB. We had better hope our core at DL can stay healthy. Talent drop off is pretty significant. And next year is a scary drop off.

Really? Didn't realize that we were in that bad of shape.

Our Dline has been stupid good for the last 3 years(this year included) so I mean, a drop-off is expected for next season. Just how bad is it?

Losing after '16:

Jon Allen
Dalvin Tomlinson
Dakota Ball

Returning after '16:

DE Johnny Dwight JR(Maybe?)
DE DaShawn Hand SR
DE Raekwon Davis rFR/SO(Maybe?)
NG DaRon Payne JR
DE Jamar King rJR/SR
NG OJ Smith JR
DE Quinnen Williams rFR/SO
NG Josh Frazier SR

I think it's more that Bama's upperclassmen are for the most part inexperienced to this point, opposed to the embarrassment of riches we're use to.

Save a coming out party for Hand in '16, it's Payne and 2 question marks in '17. I'm sure one of the guys will transition down from LB too...

McMillon seems like a good choice. I also thought Anfernee Jennings could end up at DE... Has that Upshaw type of body. Lastly, Terrell Hall. He's already a monster, just keep feeding him!

You have to admit as well you selective quote me. Saban STARTS the season using senority, then he selects from perfromance. I said this to you countless times, didnt stop you from butchering it though.

One thing is certain doesn't matter how good the freshman performs at QB. He will automatically be frozen out.

Saban isnt always right and just because you disgree with him doesn't mean you don't value who he is, what he has done and what he represents.

I guess we're a full fledged cult now?

Assimilate!

Cannot believe the amount hubris being shown here regarding Hurts. He maybe a fantastic talent but nobody but the coaches and the players can know that as of now.Everybody else is blowing out the derriere Yet they feel Saban is making a monumental mistake! Why & how do we get so delusional and irrational? I have no doubt Saban has made the best decision for right now even if we end up losing games.Bateman is a fine athlete in his own right with excellent wheels and I bet we will see this come Saturday.
